As previously reported on BoxingScene.com, WBA junior welterweight champion Amir Khan will not be fighting Juan Manuel Marquez on May 15 in Las Vegas. Richard Schaefer, CEO for Golden Boy Promotions, told BoxingScene on Wednesday that Marquez has not communicated with them on the fight, and Khan would move forward with another opponent.

I wouldnt put Berto in with Quintana. He's like P-Will, I dont trust him against Southpaws. He be better off fighting a right handed beast than this fight. Its too risky

To be fair to Berto, there really isnt no one for him to fight. I think he gets ragged on too much. I think he would legitmatly fight Mosley, Cotto, or Cintron. I dont think GBP feels really comfortable putting him in with a Southpaw. It would be one thing if it was Pac but Collazo & Quintana arent worth the risk. After that there is no one else at WW to fight

First he aint a GBP fighter.

Second, Quintana is a credible name who will raise his stock pending he wins.

And he can fight hsi mandatory Ay***, or rematchh Collazo
