Malignaggi - Khan & Berto - Quintana is wayyyyyyyy better than Marquez - Khan and Berto - Malignaggi

    Hope these fights work out.

Berto/Quintana is actually very, very, intriguing.

Light hitting but with skills Paulie is getting a lot of offers. Berto or Khan taking a Paulie fight just prove how protective these fighters are. Holt shouldn't even be mentioned with these guys. A Berto/Quintana fight is acceptable, Khan is avoiding Maidana at all cost, this guy is a fraud

And Maidana isn't even that good IMO.

What's that saying about taking some risk to gain one? sure Aydin might be a high risk, low reward fight .. but if he impressively wins vs Collazo I think Aydin should at least be considered as a Berto fight option

because looking at the "fight map" at Welter, not a terrible amount of options at Berto's feet

as Floyd-Mosley & Pacquiao-Clottey are lined up .. Cotto a good fight option probably won't come back to Welter as it looks like he will fight Yuri Foreman

so what big fight exactly is Berto waiting out for?

and because of Berto's status as a Welterweight title holder, he should stay away from JWW point blank fighting Stevie Forbes and Urango should be the end of that.

Quintana would be a good fall back fight for him it is risky, but I think it would held save Berto's reputation a bit

HBO should want nothing to do with Holt-Berto ... as besides the whole "another 140 pounder" argument, Kendall Holt could potentially be a stinker of a fight and that wouldn't help Berto or HBO. and as for Paulie-Berto despite both men being promoted by DiBella .. I don't think in the long run it would be beneficial for Lou to throw his 2 best fighters at each other (***)

and setting up Paulie-Khan & Quintana-Berto is not only more competitive match making, but allows his big guns (Berto+Malignaggi) to prosper, rather then take each other out.

***then again Paulie-Berto could work out, if Paulie pulls the upset and wins the title, he (Paulie) could realistically talk his way into a fight with Pacquiao. but I think that benefits him, more then the sport of boxing. as Malignaggi-Pacquiao happening would ruin the chance of Pacquiao-Mayweather happening this year.

#1. well if the "only" names available are Paulie & Holt, then Berto's team needs to look a bit harder, as Holt wouldn't be a big name.

#2. What star is available for Berto to fight? granted he was going to fight Mosley but I just don't see a star there for Berto to fight.

#3. his plan might be to wait it out, take a low difficulty fight next up then go for a big name as his last fight for this year ... but outside of banking on landing Manny Pacquiao .. what big fight options are available for Berto?

as Cotto will probably leave Welter. the Mosley-Mayweather loser could work, but again coming off a loss how big of a fight would that fighter vs Berto really be?

not really, could be a pretty good fight, and i would watch it, but if it is competitive than clearly berto is not a top 5 WW. we saw what cotto did to him and williams, when he isn't completely slacking off. the guy can't compete against the top in the division, mosley would KO him under 6 and that's who berto was going to fight.

I dont know bro. I saw Quintana fight on williams vs martinez undercard. I think he needs a couple soft touches to get back to form himself. He won by KO but got dropped himself and had some uncertain moments.

I said dont take risk? Fool, I said that he wants the big names so how the hell is that not taking risk? He wants those cats. You cant act like the ball wasnt in motion. He just had a Mosley fight on the hook and had to pull out because a ton of his family died. Now you think he wants to leave that and then fight one of those other guys? Why do you guys keep talkin about Holt? Again, the Holt thing is only a filler until that big fight. I think Haymon & those guys feel that Floyd will probably win and Berto could still fight Mosley next.

I said it earlier that you cant call him this ducking ***** and then try to rip him for fighting a losing Mosley when he genuinely tried to fight him before Floyd and he only lost to the best in the sport. You have to give him credit for that. If Clottey does solid then he would easily fight Clottey. If Pac doesnt fight Margarito then he would easily fight Margarito & Top Rank I think would be good with that. There are real fights for him. If Floyd looks amazing against Shane then I could see Top Rank not wanting Pac to fight Floyd after the mini layoff. They may want a quick fight 1st but see's Margarito as too big of a threat and they might want to build his name up so in the meantime he could fight Berto whos speed can mimick Floyd.

Me thinking like a promoter is whats wrong with boxing? Thats BS. Act like you got some sense man and stop being a junkie fan. This is these guys livelyhood. Its a business to them just as much as it is a sport. Again, dont twist my ****. You act like Im saying fight Holt and dont do anything else. Fool, Im saying to fight Holt and then go for the elite who you genuinely want in the very next fight. Oh, if he cant beat those guys then he doesnt need the elite? 1st off he already beat Collazo and ask your boy Paul Williams how good Quintana is. Dont talk dumb **** man. These ****in fights aint easy. Dont risk that **** if you think you have a big fight on the line next, e****ally when you already just had it. It dont make sense to do that

Quintana is a better fighter than Berto.

Only concern with him is inactivity. The Quintana that fought Williams and Cotto probably stops Berto.
