Is there double standards with Mayweather and Calzaghe right now?

Co-sign brother. After I saw Dawson get that gift in the first fight against Johnson, I knew Calzaghe would've beaten him. I've never been clamoring for that fight. Hopkins on the other hand needs to fight him because they are ranked #1 and #2.Comment

But, if you look that is what a lot of fans do with the Klitschko's... They really don't give them no credit because of how weak the HW is... Not a lot of people are predicting Chamber to beat Wlad... And, if Wlad wins he will not get the credit...I didn't realise these people got to decide how good a boxer may or may not be
Nah but really though, that logic is pretty faulty in my view. Say hypothetically there was a boxer around who was absolutely unbeatable and knocking everyone out in one round, from contenders to fellow hypothetical all-time greats. He fought literally everyone there was and knocked them all the **** out. Would he deserve no credit just because he was favoured to win every time (because people realised how good he is)?
Another example I know a lot of Floyd fans who are not giving Clottey a chance to beat Pac... Even though Clottey is in the top 5 WWs and Pac wins they will not give Pac any credit...
But, they will give it to Floyd... I just think is the funny contradiction that a lot of Floyd fans have...Comment

Didn't Hopkins turn Calzaghe down at one time? This is why I'm making this comparison dude. Mayweather did the same exact thing that Calzaghe did by beating up on guys like Brusseles, N'dou, Corley, and Gatti and expecting fights with bigger name fighters while claiming that the big name fighters were shook.
It's the same exact thing that Joe Calzaghe did by hiding in Wales fighting mediocre competition and when Hopkins turns him down for fear of him pulling out with an injury combined with the prospect of a payday with DLH, how can you blame him. Shane's rematch with Vargas did more PPVs than Mayweather-Baldomir and Floyd wasn't a draw because he wasn't exciting and he didn't fight top level fighters. It is what it is.Comment

I wouldnt give Floyd credit for beating Clottey either. Especially when Clotteys best win doesnt exist. But, if you look that is what a lot of fans do with the Klitschko's... I keep hearing Top 5 WW. If Clottey is a Top 5 WW then that means the division is ass.Comment

I agree with that Burner. Cotto and Margarito are shot now and if Floyd beats Shane and decides to go on I would like to see him fight Martinez or Paul at 154 or maybe fight Bradley.Comment

Did you just compare Floyd and Calzaghes resume with a str8 face?Didn't Hopkins turn Calzaghe down at one time? This is why I'm making this comparison dude.
