Is there double standards with Mayweather and Calzaghe right now?

I mean, I know Shane is on top and beat down Margarito and everything. But Hopkins was still considered the best LH in the world like Mosley is at 147 and Calzaghe didn't get any credit for beating him and understandably so.

Mayweather should have to dominate Mosley in order to be immune from the type of criticism that Joe got for not beating Hopkins convincingly. It's only fair. And plenty of people say Hopkins ducked Calzaghe in 2002 and they have a right to stand by that, even though I think Joe would've pulled out of the fight with a freak injury or something if Hopkins decided to fight him.

Dude, I hate Calzaghe's guts and I think he's got a weaker resume than Floyd but it's still a double edged sword with certain fighters on particular situations.

Bernard was 43, Shane is 38 thats a 5 year age difference, the same difference between Floyd and Shane

Shane is past his prime but this is still the best WW fight which can be made, Floyd shouldn't be criticised for taking a fight everyone wanted to see

Looks like some have made it a Mission to try to down play this fight with everything they can think of, Its the 2nd Biggest fight Floyd could make and possible in all of boxing, yet some cant accept it.

I never get why the criticizing of Calzaghe fight Hopkins... I don't get it and I never did... Hopkins was/is still a top fighter...

I get the fighting Roy criticism but not Hopkins...

Shane is still a top fighter...
