And the excuses from Manny, his team and his nuthugger fans have really damaged his reputation with the general public.
He's always going to have his hardcore fans who will never think he's on the juice, but the rest of us are going to wonder if he's clean or not unitl he takes a freaking blood test with no restrictions.

Originally posted by The Gambler1981 View PostHopkins situation is much different then Manny's he has been roughly the same for a long perior of time even before the Tito fight he was really good, the Roy Jones fight was a ****ty fight and Jones clearly won but Jones at that point was doing people much worse so you could tell Hopkins was someone of real abilityLast edited by Dave Rado; 01-31-2010, 05:07 PM.

I totaly agree with Floyd...
I totaly agree with Floyd in that all fighters should take mandatory blood & urine tests all the way until & after the fight...There is no advantage since both fighter's are going threw the same proses & it would really help clean up the sport & it won't leave any doubts afterwords(for example;like now with Pacquiao)

The fact is that Hopkins started as a puncher and morphed into a defensive master and he improved dramatically when he did so. Pac also changed his style, under Roach, and improved dramatically as a result. And you could tell that Manny had real ability in his early fights. He improved dramatically under Roach, but he was already a two weight world champion by the time he first met Roach.
Ali aged just fine he was sweet, was forced to leave the sport then came back and did big things he was not a young man when he made Foreman look like a fool and he was not a better version later on he was just able to maintain a high level. You are throwing out example that mean nothing since they are not like circumstances.

I never liked little floyd but I got to admit it, The man is right. All you Pac man fans know he's on PED's but don't want to believe it because he's your favorite fighter. I know exactly how you feel cuz I felt the same way about Barry Bonds, didn't wanna believe it cuz I'm a Giants fan but I knew he was Ped's.

Pacquiao's record up to the age of 25 was far better than Hopkins' record up to the age of 30.
And no one claimed that what Pacquiao has achieved is commonplace. But if you think that anyone who achieves anything that is not commonplace must be on drugs, then by your own logic, Hopkins must be on drugs. If you don't think that about Hopkins then it is serious and malicious double standards to assume that about Pacquiao.
