This would be a great fight to see. Floyd and his shell deffense going up against Hearns and his awesome offensive arsenal. Will Floyd be able to shoulder roll and pot shot his way to victory? Or will Hearns penetrate that shell and force Floyd into the pocket and fight. Hearns and that straight right hand vs Floyd and his laser beam lead right. Hearns pumping out that rope of a jab and follwoign it with the right digging to the body. Floyd standing right in front of him making him miss and returning fire. I think it would be a hell of a fight. Don't just vote I want to hear a post on how you think the fight would have played out. I listed a number of factors including the reff anf the ring size.....Lefty
Weight: 147
Ring: 20 x 20 Feet (smaller ring)
Gloves: 8 Ounces (punchers gloves)
Refferee: Kenny Bayless (does not liek clinching)
Venue: Michigan Stadium (capacity 107,501)
Floyd would look desperate in there. running all night, winning possible 4 rounds at best, getting koed from the mid to late rounds, with the possibility of going the distance but unlikely.Comment

I disagree with this. The right hand is the one punch that can get to Floyd. It's the left hook that rarely lands. Being the taller man, landing a right hand wouldn't be out of the question for Hearns. As you know Ima Detroit guy and Tommy is Favorite of all time. I cant see him beating a guy as smart as Mayweather.
Tommys best weapon is a right hand. A punch Floyd is RARELY hit with due to his shoulder roll defense. Floyds foot speed and reflexes allow him to get inside Tommys Reach and makes Tommy fight a fight he doesnt want to fight. INSIDE GAME.
Floyd is light years ahead of the Hitman on the inside. I see Floyd deflecting shots and hitting Tommy with crisp , clean punches. Tommys chin was also his downfall and Floyd has the kind of speed and accuracy to land some good wins on Tommys chin. Punches that he wont see coming. FGloyds counter punching would be down right deadly vs. Hearns.
Tommys jab will pose problems until Floyd starts to time it with laser .....and I do mean LASER right hands over the top. Tommy is too easy to hit and Floyd is the complete opposite.
People who are picking Tommy because hes tall and hit hard need to go watch more boxing. Go watch some more Hearns tapes as well. He hates MOVEMENT.
People ned to stop acting like Floyd is some ****ing bum.
I got Floyd winning a comfortable decison. 8 -4. UD.
Hearns hates movement? he was actually beating SRL both times untill he got stopped.
Benitez, who fights more like Whitaker than Floyd, was barely able to land anything and was running all night.Comment

all he had was a right hand?Floyd will whoop Tommy Hearns ass just like he did Diego Corrales
I mean Hearns did have a poweful right hand but thats all he had and he had no chin
and with Floyd being such a defensive fighter Hearns wouldn't be alble to land a clean shot with a lot power behind it
so i think Floyd will outbox him early and stop him late i mean Tommy does havs a puncher's chance but against a great defensive fighter like Floyd Mayweather that chance is very slim
damn man, you're ****ing dumb

Excellent matchup Left....but I see the real HITMAN taking Floyd out in the later rounds...you can only be in a shell for so long and land effective punches in the JUDGES eyes...the way I see it...the only way to beat Floyd...is to force him to engage you...I'm pretty sure if you take a fighter out of his element...the mistakes will come up....force a defensive fighter to go on the offensive, and you'll see *****s in the armore you never knew existed. This would be a great fight to see. Floyd and his shell deffense going up against Hearns and his awesome offensive arsenal. Will Floyd be able to shoulder roll and pot shot his way to victory? Hearns is a nightmare matchup for Floyd(and a lot of other Welters). People say he had a suspect chin but it wasn't exactly checked by any but hard-hitting fighters and he was never outboxed due to his own boxing skills/size/athleticism even by slicksters like Benitez and SRL. Leonard was only able to beat him by getting in his face and turning slugger, a quality that Floyd hasn't exhibited, nor does he have the power of Leonard to hurt Hearns. Hearns would simply put Floyd on the defensive from the jump and either stop him late or cruise to a wide decision win.Comment
