Anyone who thinks Floyd wins the fight ha not done their homework. They way to beat hearns at his best was to KO him, and Floyd would not even be able to get his respect.

Agreed. Hearns' boxing ability was largely overshadowed by his power and chin. This is the same guy who took Benitez to a 15rnd Decision.

I don't really understand this poll. Obviously Hearns should win espeacially with all of the intangibles you added at the bottom. Hearns is a top 10 all time welterweight in my opinion. Hearns would beat any of the current welterweight including Paquio who would nearly get decapitated by Hearns.

Intangibles are very important my friend they are the little details the common fan over looks in boxing also the common poster ingnores when it comes to real life matches...i am glad you were paying attention...Lefty

The only fighter able to KO Hearns at WW was Sugar Ray Leonard and that was because he had too. He was forced to brawl with Hearns. Hagler beat him by TKO/KO at MW and Iran Barkley beat him by TKO but that was at LHW. He was KO'd one more time in 2000 but that was when he was way passed it and at CW. With all due respect to Floyd and his talent, at 147 he simply doesn't throw enough to keep Hearns off him. Floyd is a fantastic fighter but hearns is a whole other beast.

While I made the poll and I voted that Hearns would win by KO I highly doubt he would beat Floyd by KO in round 1. Something would really have to be wrong with Floyd for that to happen. Floyd has enough ring intelligence to last a few rounds on that alone....Lefty

As you know Ima Detroit guy and Tommy is Favorite of all time. I cant see him beating a guy as smart as Mayweather.

Tommys best weapon is a right hand. A punch Floyd is RARELY hit with due to his shoulder roll defense. Floyds foot speed and reflexes allow him to get inside Tommys Reach and makes Tommy fight a fight he doesnt want to fight. INSIDE GAME.

Floyd is light years ahead of the Hitman on the inside. I see Floyd deflecting shots and hitting Tommy with crisp , clean punches. Tommys chin was also his downfall and Floyd has the kind of speed and accuracy to land some good wins on Tommys chin. Punches that he wont see coming. FGloyds counter punching would be down right deadly vs. Hearns.

Tommys jab will pose problems until Floyd starts to time it with laser .....and I do mean LASER right hands over the top. Tommy is too easy to hit and Floyd is the complete opposite.

People who are picking Tommy because hes tall and hit hard need to go watch more boxing. Go watch some more Hearns tapes as well. He hates MOVEMENT.
