you still wont answer why calzaghe and hatton drain themselves over 30 pounds to make weight yet hopkins didn't have to drain himself at all to make 160. he lived there for his whole career. yet he's a natural light heavy cause he fought once when he was a part time boxer? laughable. you seem to take pride in being ignorant and uninformed.
The overrated Bernard Hopkins

[QUOTE=daggum;7365476]yes but he would have if he fought at his natural weight which appears to be about 200 pounds. you obviously don't know the difference between walking around weight and fighting weight.
now you cracking me up for real...so now you are saying that ricky hatton is really a natural heavyweight fighting down at jr. welter and welter?
but since hopkins took a fight on short notice without being in shape and hardly having any training he's a natural light heavy? gtfo.
stop making excuses for Hopkins losing....and i'm saying what i've always said...he entered boxing as a lightheayweight...LOST...then scaled down over a two year period to enjoy a height, weight, strength, etc. advantage over the middleweight division, and lost when every time he came up against equally sized, equally talented fighters like jones and taylor 2X....
you do realize every boxer drains himself to make weight? calzaghe drains like 30 pounds. in fact hopkins was one of the few boxers to ever remain close to his fighting weight(160) during his entire career. seems like he is more of a natural middleweight than any other boxer who drains themself before every fight.
calzaghe didn't enter boxing as a cruiser, lose, then scale down two divisions to have an unfair advantage against his opposition...so keep him out of it...
Hopkins himself admitted in Ring Mag to scaling down and remaining at 160, so why do cats like you keep making excuses?....

Because Veit, McIntyre and Jimenez make Eastman, Allen and Joppy look like the dream team? Because Byron Mitchell is on the level of Keith Holmes, if not worse? Because Sakio Bika is just a contender whose shining moment came against a Contender? Who did Calzaghe beat at super middle that was as good as Tito in his prime?
would u give calzaghe as much credit as u give hopkins if he woould of beat tito and oscar?
eastman allen and joppy are arguablly hopkins best wins against someone who wasn't a ww at middleweightComment

Ok then...so then why are you arguing with me if you feel Hopkins had a (slightly) better resume at 160?
Pavlik was a heavy, heavy favorite. So was Tarver who was #3 pound for pound and the undisputed king at LHW coming off wins against Jones and Johnson. And Hopkins moved up two divisions and kicked his ass. Weight drained? Don't make me laugh.
Heavy favorite? so what Oscar was H.favorite vs PacComment

And why do you keep bringing up De La Hoya when I haven't mentioned it at all? Like I said it's a good win or something?Comment

Yes, and what do you think of Pac?Comment
