So you're saying what Luis Resto did and What Margarito did are the same? Lmao!!! Whats next we start scoring punches that don't land because the fighter attempted to land it? Please.

The thing is his gloves wernt loaded (at least not how you think). They were w****d illegally and no it doesn't make it better but from my understanding they wrapped in a way to protect Tony's hands.

Exactly. Now if there was proof Margs used loaded gloves, not attempted but actually used them in a fight I'd say ban him for life. There is no such proof though.

If I attempt to murder someone do I not go to jail? If I attempt to commit fraud do I not go to jail? If I attempt to steal do I not go to jail?

He attempted to commit a boxing crime he should be punished accordingly. He does not need to go to prison like Resto though~

Was Margarito not punished? Did his reputation and financial situation not suffer enormously because of this?

He has been but it should be more severe, maybe if he showed some remorse I could feel sympathy for him but as it sits now he deserves to rot as far as I am concerned.

Comparing cheating in a sporting event to felony crimes is like comparing apples to elephants.

Look at the comparison he made comparing attempting to cheat to attempting to land punches, my comparison is atleast comparing like situations.

Laws are rule and if you attempt to break the rules you get penalty, same with breaking rules in sports you attempt to cheat you get the penalty. It is an apples to apples comparison just one is more severe then the other.
