Im no fan of Margarito. He tried to cheat and may have cheated before. He's done his time though and should be allowed to fight again.
I believe all the state commisions have to honor that, there is nothing that says he has to be reinstated after a year only that they will look at it, he has not owned up to his mistakes and shown no remorse that to me says the ban should not be lifted.

The fact that a soft commision says otherwise well that is just a sad part of the sport.

Laws are rule and if you attempt to break the rules you get penalty, same with breaking rules in sports you attempt to cheat you get the penalty. It is an apples to apples comparison just one is more severe then the other.

So you want to use the law to punish fighters who break the law which was done to margarito, yet you want to disregard the law when its time for reinstatement which is part of the law by the commission?

What are you talking about circle jerk man?

There is nothing that says they have to give him a licence to box again, boxing is a not a right.

He was never accused or convicted of cheating before either. You seem to want to treat this like a court of law. If so shouldn't these things have been taken into consideration. Or.....maybe they were taken into consideration when deciding how long to suspend him. The man did right by his suspension. He wasn't sent to prison and this shouldn't be treated like a parole hearing.

They didn't suspend him they revoked his licence, if you get your licence revoked there is no promise of reinstatement only it is possible after that year is up.

                  lol @ splitting hairs.

His license being revoked is basically the same thing as "suspended indefinitely".

Actually, tests showed that it was a loaded attempt. There was plaster of paris.

Kind of but still revokation is revokation and suspending is suspending they are different, it was never definite that this would only last one year.

I mean if I got a DUI in one state, lost my licence and could go to a different softer state in a year to get a licence I would probably do it also~
