Gamboa has great technical skill when he needs to use it.

Unfortunately is recklessness supersedes his technical skills, therefore Juanma over Gamboa.

    Peace.

gamboa hasn't been as sloppy in his last few fights, he is being more technical than what we saw in the first year or so of his pro career.

Yea, i remember "Ferocity" posting a similar video of margarito going through his technical motions in similar fashion, the thing is, every fighter knows the basics but its how they apply it, which gamboa seems to NOT do even against sub-par competition, his excecution just isnt that great. Hes an above average fighter with alot of power.

Thats because he doesn't need his technical skills to beat the fighters hes fought.

            16-0 14KOS.

I think you are on point, it’s not like he loses his composure afterwards he’s just not consistent with technicality.

He hasn't needed to use it with the fighters he's fought.

His last few fights have gotten a lot better.

The way you fight is the way you fight, there are a few guys like mayweather and hopkins who are versitile enough to abandon certain things when they know they have someone and Gamboa isnt that kind of guy, hes reckless, lacks defense and doesnt move his head. His upper body movement is stiff because of his monster muscular build. You wanna know my honest opinion? Gamboa isnt that far off from what Jeff Lacy was.

I think Juanma has faced better competition and Gamboa has been floored more against lesser opponents. But in defence of Gamboa, he is getting better.
