I like both fighters and I also think Gamboa is technical, and will be when he has to. It's a pickems fight. If Lopez doesn't get into a slugging match, I think he'll outbox Gamboa in a close fight. But if he exchanges on a regular with Gamboa, he'll get dropped.

from what i see there, all it takes is someone to catch him coming in and hed have alot of problems, he still looks very reckless and while i saw a little headmovement, it was strictly to setup another combination. He also admires his punches and he still squares up. Im telling you guys, against anyone with a short hook or anyone who just takes a step to his strong hand and fires off a straight left or right Gamboa would be in trouble. Hes basically teeing off on the guy who doesnt have the ability to capitolize on his mistakes.

I just dont see why you guys love him so much.

That's exactly why he's doing it.

Arum aint putting Lopez in there with that freak.

Gamboas handspeed would be the difference against Lopez. Its night and day really. He owuld beat him to the punch all night dart in and out until he KOs him.

Yuriorkis Gamboa has never been past the 10th round. Neither had JuanMa Lopez till just recently when he got in there with hardcore Rogers Mtagwa. He overcame and had to dig deep, and got a taste of what it's like to be in survior mode, and showed his stamina. Edge in experience goes to JuanMa, for showing heart, and getting it done.

Gamboa's got speed and a wicked combo that can knock anybody off thier feet. Reminds me of Felix Trinidad, when he got knock down, comes back with a vengence! If JuanMa Lopez can keep Gamboa off him, take into uncharted waters, he stands a chance of pulling off a Unanimous Decision when Gamboa's speed slows down.

The question was "who's better"....in my book JuanMa Lopez, simply because he can stick and move. A more complete 'BOXER".

But Yuriorkis Gamboa is a better fighter!!! Bar none!

Why do you keep saying that? Gamboa is part of top rank... he would make money off Gamboa too... The only reason why that fight might not happen is that Gamboa is already having some problems with 126 and might move to 130 soon. Remember he has had fights at 130... So if that fight does happen it will be at 130. But, it would take a few years for Juanma to get up to 130...

The problem is is hands and feet are so fast and he hits so hard you gon be hard press to see guys trying landing those type of shots. They have to worry about whats coming back.

I dont think Lopez is a guy who can capitalize on Gamboas mistakes. Roy Jones nae LOT of mistakes. Still no one could **** with him. I think Gamboa is similar in that way. Hes cat quick with KO power in both hands. Thats why Im a fan.

                    Tomorrow night you will believe.

Gamboa is a superior puncher, but his lack of upper body movement and the way hes built, he is extremely stiff. He hardly ever moves his head and hes virtually there to be hit, not to mention hes been dropped by some pretty subpar competition.
Lopez is a sound fighter technically but he has these moments like andre berto where hell fight down to his competition, he has head movement when he wants to use it, but i think he can be somewhat methodical when he goes through these lapses of just laziness but when hes focused hes a superior fighter and relies less on his power than Gamboa does

What in my statement doesn't make sense that Gamboa is more athletic?? or Juanma's more technically superior?? Like I said gamboa can get wild but no question he is more dynamic and athletic while Juanma is more technically sound but is very methodical at times.
