Please quit the Roy Jones comparisons. Roy wasn't getting dropped but subpar opponents and was way more efficient. Gamboa is 28 for god sakes and I know it's not his fault he turrned pro so late but he's close to his physical peak and he is wide open for short counters.

To me he's just a bully who overwhelms his weak opponents with his speed. I think Lopez knocks him out.

If Gamboa was 20 my opinion of him would be drastically different.

Hands were up for most of the fight, better balance and footwork, top notch reflexes, speed was lighting and the pop has always been there, this guy hits you like a Cobra.

As far as Lopez, he's just heavy handed like Tito and can mix it up well, but other than that he's just a dime a dozen, I don't see the same kind of explosiveness and skill that Gamboa has, plus the fact that he gasses out like a mo***a in every fight that goes for more than 3 rounds. Luevano was landing a solid jab on his grill all night so there is obviously a lot of holes on his defense which was obvious after Penalosa and Matagwa had a field day landing their shots on him.
in what way did he gassed out on saturday? compubox has him throwing more punches round after round

in what way did luevano land jabs all night long? he landed 44

juanma destroyed a 126 champ and stopped him for the 1st time in his career. he did that on his 126 pound debut

how is that a "dime in a dozen" performance? i agree that gamboa looked spectacular, but come on, juanma went up to stop a champ that no one had stopped. if that isn't spectacular, then tell me how you describe it
