Who is the better fighter when looking at them: Lopez or Gamboa??

Lopez is more polished and disciplined, but even against Matgwa and Penesola, Lopez had taken unnecessary punches.

I would bet on Lopez right now, even though I have been a Gamboa fan since seeing him in his first few fights.

No knock against Gamboa (or his followers) but I think he’ll have an “L” on his perfect record before him and Juanma meet.

He’s just showing too much vulnerability against journeymen opponents and has yet to correct them, I expect his managers to cash out on him when he gets his first loss. In the mean time I have Lopez over Gamboa.

I think Gamboa has the better physical talent's whereas Lopez, is better technically. If Gamboa ever picks up the technical sides of things, look out.

As of right now, I think Lopez can edge him out.

Gamboas technical abilities get over looked because he gets wreckless when he feels the fight is 110% in control.

Although Juanma hasn't fought beasts yet, his level of opposition is way beyond the tomato cans that Gamboa fights and gets dropped on his ass by.

Gamboa is a superior puncher, but his lack of upper body movement and the way hes built, he is extremely stiff. He hardly ever moves his head and hes virtually there to be hit, not to mention hes been dropped by some pretty subpar competition.

Lopez is a sound fighter technically but he has these moments like andre berto where hell fight down to his competition, he has head movement when he wants to use it, but i think he can be somewhat methodical when he goes through these lapses of just laziness but when hes focused hes a superior fighter and relies less on his power than Gamboa does
