Toney knew Holyfields headbutting trick, so when Holyfield lunged in with his head Toney tilted his head to the side. Holyfield should of got docked points in that fight for attempted headbutting.

I agree Toney has a much better chin than Hopkins.
Hopkins was rocked a number of times and dropped twice by Segundo Mercado, in their first fight.

I agree with you, it was Hopkins who walked away from their 2003 fight. It also would of been interesting to see how Hopkins career would of went if he stayed at smw.

Then, following James Toney's impressive victory over Vassili Jirov, Hopkins shifts focus again, and decides that Toney could be an impressive cash cow. Amazingly, Hopkins was offered the better split of the two, as Toney capitulated to his demands, and Hopkins was to be the recipient of a $3M deal.

Now that he is big news again, Toney was willing to concede to Hopkins' demands, to ensure the fight got made, and what's happened, Toney is now having to look to the challenge of O'Neill Bell, in order to get a fight in the near future, and now Hopkins is calling out Ottke.

but why call him out now? whats he got left to prove? he wants to fight David Haye,Klitchsko Brothers and hopkins???...id say he would be lucky to even be able to fight one of him in the shape he is nowadays....

When Holyfield was getting beat down and resorted to his typical headbutts Toney just smiled at him and proceeded to keep beating the **** out of him.

Excellent point but I think Toney was still getting lucky at that point with the roids. I have no proof but his performances there after were flat and if I remember correctly he tested positive in his very next fight. Isn't he still juicing. I bet his weapon of choice was winsor which is used to help lose fat and build lean muscle. But again great observation he did be the bricks off of Holyfield's head.
