It depends on what you define as standard rules.

Fighters demand different gloves, catchweights, ring size, etc. In the end it's just all things fighters have to agree on. If not, no fight.

Why is one demand so different than another?

BTW I was sorta ****ing with you on that first post. Just being a wise ass.

Usually, if a fighter is scared of his opponent the only way out is to play the commissioner role. I heard it works wonder to the fighter who's scared to fight.

            You can say that again...

Even how much money is involved if a fighter doesn't want to fight we can't do anything about it.

Everythings got to have a 1st, they weren't standard before people demanded them.

Wording it like this creates sort of a slippery slope that makes it easy for the TS to be agreeable. The better question should be if fighters should or shouldnt be allowed to set a new precedent for the rules if they feel that safety measures have evolved in order to level the playing field.

There is always a first time for everything.I'm pretty sure that the 1st Catchweight fight also recieved some harsh criticism

If that is the case, then it would mean catch weights shouldn't be allowed because the Commission has defined the weight classes. Asking someone come in at a lower weight that is lower than the weight prescribed by the Commission is a "*****" move. Right?
