Was it a mistake by Pacquiao to let Cotto tee off on him?

alright DAZED, im not gonna run around in circles with you....DOM's right...Floyd Sr had insider information...himself...he saw firsthand what happened to hatton
The bottom line is, even if he has firsthand info - which I suspect he does, as these rumors have been flying for a while now - he wouldn't come out and say it. How does that benefit him? What benefits him is getting him off the juice and then getting 40mil to kick his a**. No morse code needed.

i dont think he has inside info...what i do think he has is, a father's intuition to protect his son...and that's why the smear campaign to get in PAC's head arose...and not to mention to somewhat 'clear' his failed performance as a trainer in the hatton fight

I disagree. Of course he has inside info on whether Manny's juicing or not. Floyd Mayweather isn't a fan on a message board. Fighters always know. And - for the ten millionth time - these rumors were swirling hard body well before Floyd Sr opened his mouth. Of course Floyd knows what's up. Just like Tyson did when he asked Evander to take tests. Boxing is a small fraternity, mak. Full of similar sparring partners, cutmen, trainers - people who go back and forth between fighters and so many more. I'm pretty sure Floyd's aware of what goes down at the Wildcat.

well, i guess we'll find out if the court case goes thru...the burden of proof falls upon the accuser and it will validate and expose this 'insider info'

Nah. The burden of proof will fall on Manny to prove that he's been slandered and that it has hurt him in some way financially to where he may deserve comp. Filling up a 50,000 people stadium should convince them of that . Good luck with that. And even if he passes that, he may be forced to take tests to prove his innocence as well - as the defense will no doubt look to bury him with that (as he prepares for Clottey or whoever). GBP isn't small potatoes either.

The lawsuit won't get very far anyway - mark my words and quote me. It's doubtful he gets anything. But if Manny wants to prove his innocence by making less than six figures rather than giving some blood and picking up $40mil, more power to him.

I'm sure you can make an argument that if pac didn't win so impressively floyd wouldn't have asked for drug tests. Something obviously intimidated floyd a bit and that certainly could have been it.
It was Pac who ducked Floyd.
