Was it a mistake by Pacquiao to let Cotto tee off on him?

At the time pacquiao said he wanted to test cottos power, and to show everyone that he was at least just as strong as cotto.

So he stood be the ropes with his hands up and he let cotto just keep punching him for a good while.

While im sure he was hoping to get more praises on how great he is from the adoring public, it actually gave people more reason to think he was on steroids.

Im thinking mayweather might not have even asked for these extra drug test if he just boxed cotto.

    WHATCHA THINK?

I think that showed really how strong Pac is mentally and physically because he didn't leave the Cotto fight untouched, but he did lure Cotto out of his gameplan which seemed to work in the 1st couple rounds for Cotto. But that's what separates a guy like Floyd and Pacquiao. Pac's willing to take a little to give a little as where Floyd plays the "hit and not be hit" route as uses it to perfection...against the right opponents of course.

Are you saying he should try to look weaker then he is? No it was no mistake it was awesome. Kind of like Ali. I think it had effect on Cotto and it certainly had effect on the observers.

That 3rd or 4th round (forgot which one) was absolutely brilliant by pacquiao. One of his best rounds of his entire career as far as ring I.Q and strategy goes.

I'm sure you can make an argument that if pac didn't win so impressively floyd wouldn't have asked for drug tests. Something obviously intimidated floyd a bit and that certainly could have been it.

Honestly, I get the feeling that Mayweather got some sort of info we know nothing of. That or Mayweather wants to assure himself of a fair bout. That is all there is to it in my opinion. I wouldn't think too much into it. The problem I have is that Pacquiao and his camp stirred all this. Pacquiao probably doesn't know that this lawsuit was triggered because of his own camp.

But what about the steroid allegations? Remember Floyd Sr having a frield day what that? "No way a little man can take those shots without enhancements" or something like that.

That might even be the reason FLoyds camp were asking for olympic style testing.

you do realize he was blocking almost all of those punches? you see when you put your gloves up and your opponent hits them it doesn't hurt very much. only a few got through. how come no one questions mayweather when he does this against the bigger delahoya? steroids! not by choice though he was pushed there cause he couldn't hold center ring.

                what information?

if they had any information you think their big mouths would have kept it quiet?

all this started publicly with floyd sr.

only cause for this su****ion because of how good pacquiao looked in the higher weight classes.

if hatton or cotto or delahoya had ktfo pacquiao , none of this talk would even happen.

the moment cotto realized pacquiao could hurt him and when it seemed like pac can take cotto's punches , it was game over.
