Was it a mistake by Pacquiao to let Cotto tee off on him?

some of these guys don't even know what they're talking about. But that's all based on assumptions, not facts.
There's no trail of evidence that would make anyone think Pacquiao is doping up or has been in the past. Matter of fact, nobody was talking about Pacquiao doping even as early as a couple months ago during the preparations for the Cotto fight. So based on his performance against Cotto (who he was the favorite in mind you), we're supposed to assume he couldn't do what he did to Cotto, so now he's doping up? If you look back to when all these rumors started, there hasn't been one shred of evidence that would prove Pac's on anything besides now people jumping the gun because of the dispute of random drug testing. But does that make Pacquiao guilty or is he simply standing his ground? I believe if the roles were reversed many of the Floyd fans would be singing the same tune many of the Pacquiao fans and really a lot of the sports journalists who've made articles about the situation have already.
how can pac be stronger than he is in the lower weight classes? ummm.....everyone gets stronger the less weight they cut and more pounds they add on.
how can this guy move up 17 lbs. in a year?
ummm.....he was fighting at 130 and 147. doesn't mean he only weighed 130 and then jumped to 147. he was 144 fight night in his last 130 fight.
how can this guy all of sudden koing people?
ummm......most of his wins at 122-130 were by ko. only decision wins he had at 122-130 that wasn't was against barrera , marquez and larios. guys he knocked down. a lot of his decision wins were at the start of his career when he was a teenager and fighting 4 round fights.Comment

But what? Should fighters fight less then their best or try to look bad in the ring so they don't get accuesed of cheating? When your in the ring your in the ring and what may or may not happen outside the ring can be of no concern when your in a fight.Last edited by Ivansmamma; 01-14-2010, 04:13 PM.Comment

I agree about Pac's team changing dates on what they think will be OK. It did confuse me too..........14 day cut off would have been alright. The only answer I can give to that is that they're tired of Mayweather and wants to prove they can go on without him. So far so good.....May's scrambling on who to fight.
But when it comes to who fucked up this fight...My fingers are pointing to the Mayweathers. They changed the rules for this fight and Pac did not oblige. Pac has been quiet for a long time, still the crackheads are running their mouths, the lawsuit (thank God) had stopped them.Comment

Yes but Pacquiao came out and said he didn't want to be tested 48 hours before their bout. Roach said "We're willing to take whatever test, I have no problem with USADA". So people read into all that, people read. We all heard Arum say he wanted a 30 day cut off (Constantly) and Pacquiao is constantly saying "Don't test me the day of or the day before facing Mayweather". Then Pacquiao (2 weeks later) says that he wants a 30 day cut off, now 24.I agree about Pac's team changing dates on what they think will be OK. Chups, people are reading, connecting the dots, and all this was Floyd Sr.'s fault? I don't think so man. Pacquiao shouldn't have lied about 48 hours, Roach shouldn't have lied about not having an issue with USADA.Comment

People are reading and some are spinning. Agreeing to a non-mandatory blood test is already a big sacrifice. (Pac has never failed a test). Why can't May just agree to the 24 days cut off? Was there any difference in results for 14 or 24? Pac is gonna get tested after the bout anyway........hayayay.Yes but Pacquiao came out and said he didn't want to be tested 48 hours before their bout.
