    Pacquiao PEDs discussion.

PEDs won't give you boxing skills.
PEDs won't teach you to punch using both hands.
PEDs won't teach you how to move in and out to avoid getting punched.

You guys are saying that Pacquiao seems to be knocking down opponents at higher weights and taking in their best shots but we've seen that trait before, why didn't we question Henry Armstrong before? Why didn't we question other fighters who has achieved much as well?

Why are you guys not questioning Oscar? Mayweather? Who has ventured and gained so much weight by moving in and out of divisions as well?

Furthermore, another explanation I could give on the issue Pacquiao gaining more power and explosiveness is him not being dehydrated anymore.

Most guys know all those stuff stated above. The thing you guys are arguing for right now is that Pacquiao gets an edge in getting to train harder but don't you guys realize that Pacquiao has always been a monster in training? Ever ****ing, since? And the reason he could seem to be looking better and better in training is that because he's getting to eat all the food he wants to eat and not dehydrate himself anymore??

Imagine Pacquiao dehydrating himself just so he could weigh in @ 135. He has always been trying to lose 9pounds plus. At fight night he would always usually weigh in at 144+ so what's the point?

They say he takes PEDs to train harder. I say common sense tells you that eating more > dehydrating yourself to make weight will give you more energy to train harder. 9000 calories to burn everyone?

I don't know. Just my two cents. I'm not saying I'm correct and all that.

A great read on this issue.

Many things have been said and insinuated to make this look like a more complicated situation. But, none of them really hold water. Here are some facts.

Manny Pacquiao has never tested positive in a drug test.

Manny Pacquiao is one of the hardest working and most disciplined fighters in the sport.

Manny Pacquiao’s success as he moved up in weight has been fueled mostly by a change in style and tactics rather than added strength.

One of the most astonishing things to me is that fact number three keeps getting ignored by the folks who somehow believe that all of a sudden it’s reasonable to assume that Pacquiao above all other boxers needs a special set of testing rules to participate in a big fight. People who are supposed to know boxing are throwing out this most obvious truth in their argument that Team Mayweather’s smear campaign on Pacquiao is OK.\

When Pacquiao was fighting in those legendary wars with Erik Morales, Marco Antonio Barrera and Juan Manuel Marquez in the 126-130 pound range he was a completely different fi9gjhter. He walked straight in and threw mostly jabs and straight left hands. He would occasionally mix in an upper cut here and there, and very seldom a powerful right hook. He seldom punched in combinations and used little lateral mo0vmenet. He was actually a pretty one dimensional fighter. He won because he had power, punching accuracy, and a great will. His fights were often wars of attrition because of his stylistic deficiencies. Given those deficiencies it is actually fairly amazing that against three hall of fame fighers, Marquez, Morales and Barrera, he went 5-1-1. It’s a testimony to his power and toughness.

When he decided to move up in weight, Freddie Roach rightly recognized that if Pacquiao fought the way he had in the lower weights, somebody bigger would probably knock him out. So, at age 29, with the help of Roach, Pacquiao did what few boxers do at any age---he reinvented himself. He became the very defiunitio0n of a boxer-puncher. The Pacquiao that fought David Diaz, Oscar DeLaHoya, Ricky Hatton and Miguel Cotto at weights from 135 to 147 used hand and foot speed, an infinitely better right hand, and better defense to go along with power. Anybody who professes to know boxing should have been able to see that.

No performance enhancing drugs can change your technique. Even though he stopped all of those opponents fighting at weights higher than he had previously fought at—it was not power that made the difference. The difference was speed, ring generalship, combination punching and a vastly improved defense. Anyone that suggests otherwise and really believes it is ****** when it comes to understanding boxing. Most of the people who surround Floyd Mayweather as promoters or advisers are not ****** when it comes to understanding boxing. Most of all my friend Floyd is not ****** when it comes to understanding boxing. He is, in fact, a genius.

Discuss people! Counter my arguments. Or has NSB come to a point wherein it's just for bashing, biased, and ****** meaningless posts only?

I agree, I mean come on, people has never though of Pacquiao as a cheater or a steroid user pre Floyd Mayweather Sr. allegations.

I know much damage has been done because Pacquiao didn't take the drug test but put yourself in Pacquiao's shoe. Would you like someeone, you think inferior to you, be able to get through your head?

We all know that he has a big ego type of guy, a diva as some may call it. (Manny Pacquiao's entourage is almost = to Mariah Carey entourage).

Thanks, I hope Pacquiao really defeats Joshua Clottey though, and then fights Mosely or Floyd next. It's the only fights I think that makes sense after that.

true they dont give u skills......but he doesnt really has any, think about it

when somebody wants to fight him, he wins because he is quicker, and somehow some way hits much harder, throwing all kinds of weird combinations, but they are fighting not boxing, when cotto was boxing, he was out skilling manny easily, he got hit with a tuff one and decided to fight and well.....u see the result, manny is a great fighter sure but someone who has great boxing skills??? no sir

im sorry man, but when u take a shot from miguel freakin cotto straight flush on ur face, and u say "come on i want more" people are gonna be su****ious, a little man takin shots from a real welter walkin thru them basically, idk just seems strange

the thing is with people on this board, they forget this sport is called boxing, which is to hit and not get hit, when manny fights a boxer he struggles plain and simple,

im not saying he doesnt know what he is doing in there, im just saying if u take a well disciplined boxer against manny, its gonna be a real ruff time,

the way he "fights" ped's or or whatever are perfect for him.....
