In every fight he has recently been in,he has had the same base style that will lend him problems against someone who can adapt. He fights off of a rhythm bouncing forward, and moves to the side. Now its great that he has an A game offense, but against a defensive fighter like Floyd I have a hard time believing Manny will have the same success as Manny did against the previous 4.
People are/and have gotten too caught up in the hype of his last 4 fights against these limited fighters and have ignored fights where he looked bad.I also believe Floyd's power is being under-rated.I am looking for Floyd to dominate and make a statement-the only chance I am giving Manny is within the first 3-4 rounds. If Manny doesnt finish business by then,Mayweather will have figured his style out (as he always does) and make it a horrible night for Pacquiao.I want to add I do not dislike either fighter, this is just a perspective from a fan of the sport-not a biased fan of a fighter....

    Boxer/Out-fighter

Heavyweight champion Muhammad AliA classic "boxer" or stylist (also known as an "out-fighter") seeks to maintain distance between himself and his opponent, fighting with faster, longer range punches, most notably the jab, and gradually wearing his opponent down. Due to this reliance on weaker punches, out-fighters tend to win by point decisions rather than by knockout, though some out-fighters have notable knockout records. They are often regarded as the best boxing strategists due to their ability to control the pace of the fight and lead their opponent, methodically wearing him down and exhibiting more skill and finesse than a brawler. Out-fighters need reach, hand speed, reflexes, and footwork.

    Counter puncher

Counter punchers are slippery in the pocket defensive style fighters. They use their well rounded defence to avoid or block shots. When their opponent throws a punch they use their defense to avoid blows and then they return one. They mostly fight at a close range; but some counter punchers remain at the distance of an out fighter. To be successful using this style he or she must have well rounded overall skills, a sharp boxing brain, and while blazing speed isn't always necessary, good speed at the least is required.

    Boxer/Puncher
A boxer-puncher is a well-rounded boxer who is able to fight at close range with a combination of technique and power, often with the ability to knock opponents out with a combination and in some instances a single shot. Their movement and tactics are similar to that of an out-fighter (although they are generally not as mobile as an out-fighter), but instead of winning by decision, they tend to wear their opponents down using combinations and then move in to score the knockout. A boxer must be well rounded to be effective using this style.

The boxer or out-fighter tends to be most successful against a brawler, whose slow speed (both hand and foot) and poor technique makes him an easy target to hit for the faster out-fighter. The out-fighter's main concern is to stay alert, as the brawler only needs to land one good punch to finish the fight. If the out-fighter can avoid those power punches, he can often wear the brawler down with fast jabs, tiring him out. If he is successful enough, he may even apply extra pressure in the later rounds in an attempt to achieve a knockout.

    • Not sure why a lot of people think this will go the distance. mayweather hasn't fought a calliber guy like this since he lost to castillo. sure he has great defense against hand picked smaller guys but theres a reason he never fought one of the top welterweights for all those years because he was afraid of losing. i think all pac needs to do is make this a fast paced action fight and mayweather will not be able to keep up. pac took cottos best shots and mayweather doesn't have that power. i think pac knocks him out in this one.

      • Ariza has said that Pacquiao has "no idea" what he is taking.

The activities within the Pacquiao camp is very unusual. Several people have noted this. One of those people is Lou DiBella, and LDB has a lot of credibility with me.

It is noteworthy that Ariza never talks about LDB's academic background the way he talks about other people.

You know how I know you don't know **** about boxing?

How did Ali have the power to KO Foreman when he(Ali) went the distance with Frazier? How did Hopkins have the power to stop Trinidad when Hopkins went the distance with Joppy? How did JMM hurt Pac when he has a low KO percentage? Pac was on ***** street on multiple occasions. Step your game up *******.
