He did get slightly bigger (which is normal from age 20-30), only not by as much as people think. It's like 4 pounds in two years or something. He doesn't cut much weight now though, that's the real difference. But rather an extremely good LW who is for several reasons is able to compete at the top tier of the WW division and maybe even be the best there. As he does come in on fight nights at the highest weights of about 148-149 the same as he and David Diaz did for their LW fights which is very typical of the division and overnight gains like this are just typical of boxing in general.
I am not really saying it means anything or should have any bearing on the results of the super fight in March. I just want to get an understanding of how many ppl acknowledge this and how many ppl think that some how he "got bigger" in his late 20's and over age 30.

I am not saying that JMM would have beaten Floyd even if he was 10lbs heavier than Floyd but if he wasn't so much bigger why are so many ppl saying that he is? If they were similar in size in the ring no one would have said anything. Sometimes over explanations are just not needed and things are just that simple. This is one of those cases I think. The scale proves nothing. If you look at his career Floyd got on the scale for every single one of his fights. Then he fought Oscar who was famous for never getting on the scale. Floyd that night didnt get on it since Oscar didnt and he's just done that ever since now. It didnt have nothing to do with JMM. HBO also said something during that telecast about Floyd being mad at them and wouldnt let them in the dressing room so they couldnt weigh him. That was when they were beefin and Floyd called Steward an uncle tom. No one knows but we probably will be able to tell more on March 13th. However, I will say this and I tell everyone this. ESPN News should the post fight presser live for about an hour and they have Floyd & Mosley standing side by side. Ive seen pics of them but never from the angle that they were showing that night. If you saw them side by side then you would think Mosley was 10x bigger. He was much more wider & broader than Floyd. I remember saying that I bet anything that Shane looks at Floyd and just thinks that he can break him in halfComment

there's a difference between Pac, who is in fighting form at 145.. and btw, Pac was 150+ against Cotto. I put him at about 152-153 on fight night. (There wasn't all that much disparity in size between the two at all) and Valero, who has to cut an additional 10 lbs from pac to make 135...
Valero also isn't used to fighting at Pac's weight. Pac fights "bigger" than Valero.
if Pac tried to go down to lightweight, he would be weight drained, at this point. And if Valero tried coming up to ww, then who knows how he would adjust? We might have another disappointing outing on our hands from a blown up fighter, ala Marquez.
If they met at Jr WW or catchweight, Pac would still have the advantage imo.Comment
