Hopkins being a dog in the Pavlik fight shows just how ******ed P4P rankings are. A top 4 guy like Hopkins, while fighting at LHW, fights a guy barely cracking the top 10, while fighting at MW, Kelly Pavlik. And Hopkins is the underdog in a fight closer to LHW? How wack is that?

Williams got hit at will by a world class p4p level fighter in Martinez.

Pavlik got hit at will by a scrub who's not even ranked anywhere near the top 20.

Right...as if the 3 knockdowns were no indication of where the fight was going...gtfo, Espino was outclassed. He did all he could do and made it look like he had a chance when he didn't. Kelly made him realize that and his corner who did the right thing.

I cringed when he signed the fight, partly because no one ever looks good against Hopkins, how he looked in the rematch with Taylor at 166, and especially after I heard him talk about knocking Bernard out.

Then I saw Reed on here offering 4 to 1 odds and said "cha ching," even though I'm a Pavlik fan.

Anyhow, Espino isn't world class, but he came to fight. And I saw a much better fight than I expected, even little glimpses of the old Pavlik, pre destruction by Hopkins.

Martinez dropped Williams and buckled him on several occasions...

Pavlik doesn't have the fast and fluid movement that Martines has and is not able to cut the ring off as well as martinez could and tag you with punches. Pavlik will try to walk you down to land punches.

In other words it's going to be an exchanging war and Williams is going to get the best of it.. William's workrate is greater and I believe his hands are faster.

To answer your question man, Pavlik is no Martinez. The only thing he has over Martinez is poower. Marnitez has speed, movement, workrate, ability to punch and get away from you without being hit, and even better defense over Pavlik
