no way. Williams hasnt the skills to beat Pavlik, his defence and power would be too much. Martinez is a different story, i think he would beat Pavlik cause hes one of the best boxer/punchers at the weight and Pavlik just stands there.

I don't think Williams courage should be questioned..The poor guy has been wanting to fight the best for ages and kept getting ducked.

He even paid his dues when he KO'd quintana in the first. I can't believe his will to fight the best is still being questioned.

Pavlik is a ***ing kingpin btw. That was the lamest excuse to pull out of a fight...and the worst part is that after Williams looked bad after Martinez, pavlik went and called him out.. What a fraud

dude, pavlik fights...im a fight fan...i've always liked pavlik...mother****er even went up and took on an ATG to test himself...even when alot of people, including myself, that it was super risky and that he might lose...at the top of his 'shine' he took that challenge

if he wanted to, he could have stuck that jab out there and teed off with nasty right hands and ended this fight earlier...instead, he stood in the pocket and tried to get a war going...how can you NOT be a fan of that

Pavlik is finished. He couldn't even put away this journeyman. His corner had to stop it.

I'd love to see Paul Williams or my main man Sergio Martinez smoke Pavlikkk.
I agree he should have stepped up and fought Shelby Pudwill.

I saw it different.. I saw it as him wanting to fight an old man, knocking him out and then getting a fight with Calzaghe.

I think he was pretty confident going in the Hopkins fight. I guess you were probably the only one scared that he was going to lose because 95% of the mofokuaz i know thought Pavlik was going to take his head off, especially after wht he did to the man that beat hopkins twice (or at least gave him a ****load of problems)

Want's Hopkins the underdog in that fight?

No kidding, this fight was 10 times more entertaining that I thought it would be, or as you said, needed to be.

Colossal failure of a thread, unless it was intended as a bait.

a Bernard Hopkins who had just whooped Tarver, Winky and lost a close decision against Calzaghe...all those fights were over 170lbs...i did NOT like that fight for Pavlik at all...i thought Nard could win on points by dictating the pace and using his bag of tricks...the kind of fighter Pavlik hasn't seen before at that point

Hopkins being a dog in the Pavlik fight shows just how ******ed P4P rankings are. A top 4 guy like Hopkins, while fighting at LHW, fights a guy barely cracking the top 10, while fighting at MW, Kelly Pavlik. And Hopkins is the underdog in a fight closer to LHW? How wack is that?
