The ref would have stopped it a few seconds later anyway Espino stopped fighting back and those uppercuts were still coming from Pavlik the corner just wanted to stop it before the ref did. Not saying that Pavlik is done or not, he will have to fight a couple more and be handily beat before throwing in the towel on his career.
