JMM = Castillo... Castillo in his prime was never beaten he only lost on cuts... the only reason he has a bad rep is because of the weight thing. Marquez probably a slight better then Castillo.
Hatton = Hatton
Cotto can't even be compared to Genaro... they never fought in the same weight class... but if you want to at the time Genaro was considered the best at the weight and Cotto probably the best at WW
Diaz = Baldomir
Ledwabba, Sasakul = I don't know them enough to dare to compare them to someoneComment

I have had many discussions with boxing fans and read many threads on the internet about who has the better resume between Floyd Mayweather & Manny Pacquiao. Many people say that because of Pac's wins over Barrera & Morales that he should be considered to have the better resume. It seems as if people rate resumes by NAMES and not the physical shape that the opposing fighter was in at the time that the fight took place.
So my question to you boxing fans is who has more PRIME WINS on their resume throughout their career.........Mayweather or Pacquiao?Comment

Styles make fights... Corrales would have taken off Barrera's head. Corrales is no slouch... he connected against anyone he fought (exception being Floyd)... nothing against Barrera but this would have been bad for him...

It's not a head to head matchup mate.
Side notes:
Barrera is 126-135 fighter
Corrales is 130-147 fighter
They are not the same size.
Castillo was stopped by Cesar Sotto a career Featherweight. I can say Pac never lost in his prime.Last edited by miron_lang; 12-17-2009, 02:44 AM.Comment

I agree with that. I think Pac has the better names. But, Floyd body of work from top to bottom is better. I don't think anybody can argue with that. But, I am pretty sure some will try.
And, I am a Pac fan. He is my favorite active fighter. But, I love the sport more than any particular fighter. So I really try to keep it unbiased and just talk as a boxing fan. I know me people consider me a hater. But, I really don't hate on nobody. I just try to make my points as a boxing fan and not as a fan of a fighter.
I feel you... Pacquiao is absolutely an great... gotta give it to him... I'm more boxing purist but dude since moving showed me some serious skill...
The problem is I really can't see him compete with May... I hope he can bring the best out of Mayweather... we will see... if somebody can then it's Pacquiao... even though ppl talk about Marga, Cotto, Mosley... I don't see them having a chance at all... but Pacquiao has def. things that is needed to get to Floyd... I hope he can pull it off... and we got a fight that at least scratches the surface of a good scrap... to make it worthy such an event... MAY *lol* the best man win *loooooooooooooooooooooool*Comment

Like said... I think Pacquiao has the better names but he was also blessed to have these fighters around... the only truly great fighter that was around May was Mosley one weight class above him... so of course name wise he can't hold up to Pacquiao... but like said guys like Tszyu, Cotto, Margarito etc. are good fighters but not great... so Mosley is probably really the only one who was in his sights...Comment

Other fighters didnt have them. Pacquiao was really blessed as was the case for Leonard having Benitez, Hearns, Duran and Hagler around.Comment
