That is also very true. he and Margo were on the path to a great fight, and Forrest tripped up.

Most don't even remember the hype after the Forrest/Mayorga rematch. Margo had just beat Diaz, and had shirts made with Mayoga's face on them (the shirt read your next). Mayorga also said after the Forrest fight he would Fight Margo, but he never did. That fight would have brought someone alot of belts.

I got cha. But he was somebody. Just admit it. Why is that so hard. You know for a fact that I don't think Floyd ducked him. I have always said it was a buisness move.

Just admit you are wrong man. The guy was a somebody....

IMO There's no point to this question as it would take a very long time for Margarito to be marketable again if it ever happens, which is probably unlikely and Floyd has an out with the plaster.

I will even take he is a "nobody" to you.

I will take that if that makes you feel better.

To the boxing community back then though, He was considered the man, and the man to beat in the division. There were still haters of course, but many were for him back then, oppsed to the last couple of years(that includes the plaster and the fact he just became one of the most hated on fighters for some odd reason).

That's just crazy. So many facts. I just have to chalk this up to hate, or just not informed.

                Later.

You know what j, I was at Baldomir's fight before Judah . He was buried 6 deep in an undercard the fight before Judah.

He fought at literally 5 pm on a major Don King show in Chicago.

No way in hell Margs would've been buried that deep.

Baldy got a lineal in a round robin division, but Margs was the man then.

                  That's a fact.

Zsolt Erdei was lineal too right up until he vacated long ago.

Doesn't mean he was the man.

The point was, Margo did deserve a shot at Floyd at the time he asked.

Nothing against Baldie or what he did to get in that position.

I am fine with Floyd fighting Baldomir. I am ok with. It was for the lineal title. But, really lets not make Baldomir better than what he really is.
I don't get how the title going to different fighters is Baldomir's fault. Eventually the title will get passed down to other fighters. The fact is, he beat the man who was the undisputed champ and became the lineal champ.

Just when Margarito could have been a potential opponent, he turns around and loses a fight. Baldomir gained the right to fight Floyd in doing what Margarito could not do.

Is like they forget history or really were not real boxing fans at the time. I mean really to call Margarito a nobody shows your lack of knowledge.
