Ali understood the value of self promotion and talking **** to get people to notice you.......

Naw man, I meant his confidence as in that it is shaky when someone talks about other welters. To me Mayweather comes off as very insecure. Mayweather may act ****y as hell but when someone brings up a tough welter that could cause him problems, he gets very defensive. It makes him look scared and fuels the fire. Self Promotion is smart, like I already addressed, it has made the man rich and if Mayweather had been humble his whole career he probably would not be where he is in the sport. Not to bash May too much but the way Ali went about self promotion it was a bit different. Mayweather is not a dummy but he isn't as intelligent or as swift with the words as Ali. When Ali went off people listened up and respected his word, even if they didn't like it. The way Mayweather does it and what he focuses to gloat about, it comes off childish. Just my 2 cents.
