Ya'll didn't even read TS original post. He wasn't making a racial comparsion but rather a stylistic comparison. TS you answered your own question in your original post when you said that there was a white guy before jack johnson that was praised for his style. WTF make this thread when the answer is there?

If you're making a claim that there were similarities between the two, then fine, you have a point to make.

Okay, well style wise maybe they were somewhat the same but Johnson wasn't hated because of his style. Honestly, Mayweather really isn't hated on completely because of his style either. Other fighters have fought like Mayweather or a defensive approach first and gotten praise. Mayweather catches heat more so because of his mouth imo. If Mayweather had just went about his business and been respectful he wouldn't get half the heat he gets. Then again, if he did that he probably wouldn't be as wealthy as he is either. Catch 22, but to say Mayweather is hated mainly on his style is wrong.

Jack Johnson CAME into the game disrespecting white fighters and talking **** constantly & continued to do so throughout his career....

he was flamboyant & ****y...he wore fancy clothes and wore GOLD TEETH....he drove fancy cars and flaunted white women around in a time when it was a no no...he basically spat in the white mans face.......
