    Is Mayweather hated on like Jack Jonhson was?

    from WIKIPEDIA....

    dislcaimer....{i am not speaking about none of the racial stuff...I am speaking about his talent & skill}

    Johnson's boxing style was very distinctive. He developed a more patient approach than was customary in that day: playing defensively, waiting for a mistake, and then capitalizing on it. Johnson always began a bout cautiously, slowly building up over the rounds into a more aggressive fighter. He often fought to punish his opponents rather than knock them out, endlessly avoiding their blows and striking with swift counters. He always gave the impression of having much more to offer and, if pushed, he could punch powerfully.

    Johnson's style was very effective, but it was criticized in the press as being cowardly and devious. By contrast, World Heavyweight Champion "Gentleman" Jim Corbett, who was white, had used many of the same techniques a decade earlier, and was praised by the press as "the cleverest man in boxing"

    Johnson's skill as a fighter and the money that it brought made it impossible for him to be ignored by the establishment.
    .

    Johnson would constantly and arrogantly verbally taunt men (both white and black) inside and outside the ring. Johnson was pompous about his affection for white women, and imperious about his physical prowess, both in and out of the ring.

        Johnson was persecuted because of the colour of his skin.

        Floyd is hated because he's a *****.

          And now you're realizing that? It's obvious that's the case with Mayweather. A white version of Mayweather would be FORCED to retire just because they would be scared he would lose and anyone saying he was not the GOAT would be shot. A law would be passed which allowed that. Now seriously there's quite a bit of pure racism involved in the Floyd hate but his persona doesn't help. I don't blame him, if i was treated the way he is I'd prolly be more evil.

            the white fighters wanted him to brawl and slug it out....they didnt like the fact that they couldnt hit him

              Or the smartest man in boxing, depending on the color of his skin. Same **** going on, different words and scales.

                Yes, because it is the general consensus that Calzaghe is the greatest of all time.

                What a lame post.

                  I recommend that you read Unforgivable Blackness. Then, you might realize how utterly ****** this post was. The two are not even comparable. You should also consider doing research on American Civil Rights and the racism in the country from the late 1800s till the 1970s. I know I shouldn't be but I am a little shocked at how people could be so blind or ignorant to history. You got some reading to do, son.
