All this talk about Kotelnik beating Maidana and Khan beating Kotelnik is irrelevant.
Maidana has a different style to Kotelnik and "styles make fights" therefore the outcome of a Khan/Maidana fight cannot be predicted from their respective performances against a very average former world champion in Kotelnik.
Let's not forget that Maidana is an average boxer (skill wise) and all he has going for him is power, heart and hunger. Khan on the other hand; is a much better boxer (skill wise), is smarter, has a fair amount of power himself, is the fastest fighter at 140lbs in the world, a very good jab, has tasted defeat before, has the best trainer in the world (Roach), he has Ariza too, and has something to prove against heavy-handed opponents.
I think Khan will shut him out and not let Maidana's erratic punching get through to him, he will stay behind his jab and use his speed to get his combinations is, he'll stick and run but do it in a non-p*ssyfied way - it'll be an entertaining fight.
Roach will bring the heat and Khan will win by either mid-to-late stoppage (TKO or cuts) or UD. If Maidana does catch him flush then it will be interesting to see whether Khan's chin will hold out, however I believe it's improved drastically since moving up in weight.
If Khan fights him and wins, then expect a unification bout in July against Juan Urango, or Devon Alexander
