Truth is MMA is the one doing bad, boxing has been doing geat even better than ever if you ask me. This could possibly be the best boxing has ever done.
Boxing = 100+ years of history

MMA = close to 20 yrs being on PPV (dating from the 1st UFCs).

The UFC is still gaining fans. Boxing's been around so long that fathers, grandfathers, and great grandfathers have passed that love of the sport to their children and their children's children. Think about all the people who love the UFC and what they're going to be showing their kids and grandkids. The UFC realistically is still brand new in the big scheme of things.

It took 100+ years for Boxing to be where it's at now. Check back in another 100 years and see where UFC (or MMA in whole) is at. Even 10 yrs from now I see them being much bigger than they are now. Let's be a little fair.

He's an idiot, doesnt mean MMA is ****

Who cares? Stop posting MMA bollocks in this forum. That rubbish has its own forum.

            That's cool.

Can Corrales escape from being pinned down by a guy and reverse that position so that he can hold the other guy down for 30 secs. while the other guy does the same?

As Rickson said, and this has been lost by the hordes of Dana /UFC/NU Metal/BJJ dorks: there is very little skill in modern MMA.

He means that the jack of all trades master of none mentality has lead to fighters that use power and just "stand and wang" rather than technique and skill to win fights.

Sure there are exceptions at the high level but very few (GSP, Penn, Fedor, Anderson)....

But those fights SHOULD do that because they featured the sport's 2 biggest names (Pacquiao and Floyd).

The UFC will put on a PPV minus Anderson Silva, Brock Lesnar, GSP, or BJ Penn and still pull 400-500K on PPV at average per month.

I just find it a bit silly that those 2 fights beat out UFC and now UFC is done. It's absurd. Think about it like this, after Pacquiao vs Floyd, what will be Boxing's next super fight? The UFC are already planning for a huge UFC in the summer and fall of 2010 that if the rumors are true could be insane.

I don't see why both MMA and Boxing can't just co-exist. I like watching both honestly.

Sticky this for ******ation. Boxing MUCH bigger 100 years ago. ****** argument.

And MMA doesn't exist in N.America. Jesus. it's UFC. UFC is gaining fans but are close to peaking as they have picked the pro wrestling crowd clean. They have more metalheads coming too. Now they aim for skinheads.

lol, UFC could never do over a million ppv buys with one draw alone. UFC 100, which did about 800k buys, had how many "stars" packed in it? Mayweather Marquez was basically all Mayweather and Marquez.
