Miguel Cotto as a boxing champions has acted like a good role model, taking on the best, showing heart and determination, never bad mouthing his opponent. He has given much to the public. Therfore society should be lenient. Considering giving him another chance and preserving his positive value for society. It's about giving and taking, Cotto has given much, now society has the chance to show appreciation of him when he is in need. His career and all he has done should not be destroyed by one possible mistake
For taking beatings you get a **** load of money at the world class level of boxing.....you mean that give and take? He doesn't deserve special consideration because of his profession if he in fact did this. Should he only get 5-10 for murder if he did that while a normal person got 25-life? Its basically what you are saying.

haha no kidding. Lets see what a fool like that would have to say if his female relatives were being sexually harrassed or even ****d by a champion boxer.

If he thinks thats ok and would just submit with no outcry then he is a seriously deranged and disturbed person

And if he did fight it then he is a hypocrite.

Either way he loses. Thats how ****** that statement was.

So you are saying he should be treated differently. That laws that apply to everyone else should not apply to him. Thats fucking BRILLIANT!! Than again, if it was youir sister or daughter you would want justice. What a pathetic double standard you have. God forbid anything like this ever happens to someone you care about, you would be singing a different tune instantly, you moron.

This is scientific proved by research. In the world there are elements of culture like power distance, masculinity, time management, managing self and equality between sexes.Patterns have been seen in the Anglo world e.g UK being different but still having something in common with the USA,New Zealand and Australia,Canada being more feminine. You got the latin world of France,Italy,Spain, they were all influenced by Rome and share a lot of behaviours. You got Germany,Sweden,Denmark and Finland on one hand and then those latin Americans sharing behaviour. The Asians have their own although Japan differs a lot in many aspects.

Call it stereotyping but the woman's place in a Latin American country isnt the same as in an Anglo countries. The way an adult is respected in the Latin American and affiliation towards family isnt the same as in the individualistic Anglo countries.Low power distance in the Anglo countries mean inequality is not accepted whereas in the latin American countries there is high power distance.Inequality is expected that's why Cotto could not understand why this woman was turning away her employer and a world champion. He expected everyone to jump to his ****.This is science,i.e backed by imperical evidence, should you want bibliography please holla.

so you're saying he should be able to get away with sexual harassment because he was a boxing champion? How about tv stars? CEO's of fortune 500 companies? Cops? Priests? They should all be able to commit these so called minor crimes to, right?

Nobody knows how's Cotto's behavior in this island. I mean he's an arrogant son of a ***** and kind of **** too. I mean he doesn't sign autographs, he doesn't make interviews, he drinks a ton of beer every day, he doesn't salute people when he's around, come on I know its his life but he should grateful with fans. Another thing for the record my sister when to a open store when he was signing autographs and at the time of the photo shoot that ******* grab her butt so I wouldn't be surprised if this is true cause when his at the discos he begins kissing touching women and dancing like a ****ing gay when he's intoxicated with rum. He's been in a lot of trouble with women, he even has a daughter outside of his marriage named Isabella. That's why many and I mean many puertoricans don't support his career because of the way he behaves and in the fight with Pacquiao the celebration was absurd when he lost. It seems the only real supporters he has are the Puertorican people that lives on the outside like for example New York. He was quite a gentleman at the beginnings of his career as soon as he became famous he changed and transformed in that arrogant sexual arrass two time ******* son of a *****. :smileysex

Yeah equality before the law is a recent invention from America. I never supported it.

I will write this again. In matters of law you have to look at things objectively from societys point of view. Personal feelings has no place in it and should not be considered when making decisions. What i would feel in such and such hypothetical situation is totally irrelevant from a juridical perspective, do you think we should legislate based on personal feelings?

You've proven yourself to be a total moron. Nobody should be able to get away with something against the law because of their stature in sport or society. You obviously cannot understand that. Lets hope nothing like this ever happens to anyone you care about. As I've already said, Im sure you would change your tune. You're a disgrace as a person and a man. If you aren't ashamed of yourself you should be. Peace.

The law should show leniency partially because he was a boxing champions and partially because his contribution to society.

Certainly not they should be severly punished as their prime function is to uphold law and order.

Same as cops. It should be an aggravating circumstances as their calling brings with it a higher standard then for normal people.
