omg what is happening to the world!!!? But I can't call pacquiao ducking mayweather though. He didn't say anything. Just now I believe. He said in KTLA that he's willing to fight mayweather but didnt say when. Roach shouldve just stfu cuz his plan to make mayweather look like a coward backfired.

He canmake nearly 40 million...Are you kidding me...in 36 minutes (tops)!!!Who on this board would have to think twice about fighting in march for that type of money...Sounds like someone is doing some serious ducking...maybe not for the scaredee cat reason but ducking none the less.

Its silly to say that he is ducking the fight when he has always looked to fight the best and its clear that the fight will happen at some point next year.

This is just a bunch of crazed Floyd fans looking at anything to deflect away from Mayweather's lack of big challenges in the past few years.

...and all credit to Mayweather, he agreed to the fight and it seems like he made the negotiations easy. Pac has been a drama queen lately during negotiations but has always come through. Now the election might delay the fight and like it or not he will not suddenly drop out of the race to fight Floyd in May.

Also, don't take his lawyers word on anything yet, Arum hasn't even shown Manny the proposed contract yet. If it was any other athlete then they would be crazy to train for the biggest fight/game of their career and at the same time run for congress, Manny is the only guy who could pull it off...so don't discount March yet.

I just hope that because of the delay we won't have to put up with two "tune up" PPVs.
Dude again... check the facts... May and Pac are the same... they both fought the best at their weight classes and when they moved up they ain't always fought the best.

        Diaz at 135 the best???

DLH and Hatton, why should he get more respect for them then Floyd and he beat both even before Pacquiao...

Cotto was his first challenge since Marquez... and you can even throw in fights like Barrera II, Morales III where both guys were way past their prime as well... so if you bash May then don't forget that your fighter ain't done big in that apartment as well dude... I like both fighters but you got to be honest... since Pac moved up he ain't fought the best... and you can't blame him like stated before everybody wants to fight DLH and Hatton...

Doesn't look good for Manny. He's trapped in the corner right now.Everyone thought Floyd was going to be the problem here. Not the case. All this talk about Pac wanting Floyd. I wonder how bad does he really wanst him. My question is why such the urgency to become a congresman now. Not to knock Manny but as good as a humanitarian he is he isn't the sharpest knife in the drawer. I know he's Visayan butI heard from Pinoys that he even needs to polish his Tagalog up, the national dialect. What is going on in the Philippines that needs Pacquiao's immediate assistance as a congresman? The way I see it is politicians in the Philippines use Pacquiao's fame to their advantage. If it wasn't for his fame as a boxer I don't think he'd even be a barangay captain in his own town (a barangay caption is like a local community leader for you non-Filipinos). Pac is 30 years old. You mean to tell me that he can't wait untill the next election. If you took a poll in the Philippines and asked what would the the Filipino people prefer Pac do next, run for congress or fight Floyd Mayweather I would bet you what I don't have that over 90% of Pinoys would want Pac to fight Floyd. Like I said, what's the urgency. Do they think that he's going to turn into a real Wapakman and solve all of the Philippines problems in 2010? And I don't want to hear "Well, he just wants to serve is country and help his people". Get the *** outta here with that bull****. He can do the same without being a ***in politician, he's ***in Manny Pacquiao for crying out loud, the most famous Filipino in the world. He has Floyd right where he wants him!!!! I know we'll get an answer from Pacquiao soon and I have faith that he's going to fight Floyd in March. If not, I'm sorry, it's a DUCK, and a big punk move in my opinion.

My boy Pacquiao needs to step up and sign the contract. I give Floyd credit. He stepped up and agreed to the fight. I never thought it would be Pacquiao that would turn *****! I can't stand Floyd but he is ready to make this fight happen. If Pacman backs out now, then **** him. March is plenty of time for Pacquiao to recover from the Cotto fight and train for this fight. **** back in the day they fought at least every month. He was not that busted up from the Cotto fight anyway. I'm gonna try to keep the faith in Pacquiao and hope he steps up. If not he needs to retire and admit he was not willing to prove who is the pound for pound best fighter in the world. They just said on ESPN they each would make upwards of $40 million. That should be motivation in itself. Don't let me down Pacman!!!

This is deviating from the topic and I don't want to get into an argument about career resumes because I respect both fighters and I couldn't care less who is the bigger draw etc etc.

But lets look what happened recently, 2008 to present. Pac fights Marquez, and moves up a total of 3 weight class to challenge Diaz, ODLH, Hatton and Cotto. Mayweather goes into a phony retirement to avoid fighting the top fighters in his division in what is the best division of boxing, he then comes back to fight Marquez. Its clear who has done more recently and overall in their career.
