This discussion is not realistic IMO. If I wish i fight that didn't happen I would say "Roy - Darius". And we are discussing about graciano. Come on
He could have fought Hill when Hill was actually champ, not when Hill was coming off a decisive loss to Michalczewski.

If you don't get what's wrong with the whole ordeal then I'm not sure what to say. Let's imagine that Dawson vacates his LHW title to move up to fight Wladimir Klitschko while in the meanwhile Tavoris Cloud for example wins that light heavyweight title. Dawson gets second thoughts about facing Klitschko, decides to come back to LHW a year later and is presented his title back while Cloud is left with nothing. That's basically what happened.

You can say that Roy would have easily won and that no one would rate those victories anyway but there's two people Roy could have easily fought, Nunn and Rocchigiani, yet he didn't.

Most people thought even this Roy would beat Green, just because people think Toney would beat Eubank doesn't mean he would.

          Because Americans say so?
Because the world says so. Every country that knows boxing knows Hopkins. Eubanks and Benn are only in big with Europeans and hardcore American fans.

That's because America is ignorant, i've seen old threads on this forum and Americans didn't even know who Calzaghe was before fighting Lacy.

              • Roy Jones was a cherry picker in his hey day. He even was after he lost. Lacy and Tito are opportunistic fights. Danny Green was a step up, but not a devastating killer either and Roy got waxed by him.

There's a lot ignorance on this forum as it is. A lot people still don't know Calzaghe. I know about Benn and Eubanks, but I only heard of Calzaghe's name after he beat Eubanks who was on the downhill and really knew about him till after the Lacy fight. But let's face the facts, Calzaghe never did **** before the Lacy fight, which is why American never heard of him. Now it's apparent that he didn't really much after the Lacy fight either.

BTW, I am an American. Boxing is not that big here to begin with these days. Americans have little support for their own fighters, so don't be surprised if the casual American fan doesn't know Calzaghe. But if someone on a boxing forum doesn't know Calzaghe, they are definitely ignorant.
