Wow, someone has to be hell of a loser to say that beating a washed up Jones that can't even take a little punch to the head without crumbling is his greatest victory. How can this be his greatest victory ? It was a slaughter, a shot legend slaughter. Green should be ashamed.

Only delusional fans like Jones himself bought this stuff about getting back to where he were and "I'm back'' kind of ****. When you are shot, you are shot forever.

Man thats too bad. Im a RJJ fan and have been for a long time. Was kinda lookin forward to the rematch between him and B-Hop. Even if they are both past their primes. But I was kinda worried that this circumstance might happen. When I watched Green on the RJJ-Lacy fight, he looked to be a strong puncher and we all know Roy was easily capable of being stopped from a strong puncher. Roy isn't what he use to be like in his prime. Still had fast hands yes, but his footwork did slow down.

Anytime you catch a shot CLEAN on the temple, your gonna go down, or be knocked out. Thats how it is. I don't think Roys legacy will be tarnished because of this loss. He a great fighter who faught past his prime like a lot of the greats of the past (Joe Louis, Sugar Ray Robinson, Even Ali). He won titles from MW-HW. Crusier was the only weight class he didn't get.

But he did make history by taking Ruizs title when he did. Being a former MW, to make a jump to HW and get a HW title we all know had not been done since Bob Fitzsimmons. James Toney was almost the second man to do it but steroids cancelled that one.

Ruiz would have (well still is to me) been the only heavyweight champ i think in history to lose to 2 former middleweight champs.

Wasnt even that hard of a punch...didnt hit him cleanly either..and RJJ never threw a punch..looks like he just went to australia for a paid vacation.

You can't be serious can you?? History is littered with stories like this. Lewis over Tyson , Pac over Oscar , Berbick over Ali to name only a couple.

Give the bloke a break , he fought a living legend on his home soil ,in front of his own fans , and for the biggest payday of his life. To top it off he treated RJJ with the respect he deserves, even after the win. Danny Green may not be the greatest boxer to ever lace on the gloves , but his heart and character is what make him a champion. You were probably one of the countless people predicting a walkover and are just trying to bring Greens win down to make yourself feel better. Danny Green has nothing to be ashamed about.
