That being said I think a fair argument can be made for Bute, Ward or Froch as the no. 1 guy.
that's a good point.... putting bute #1 makes the super 6 seem like a tournament to get a shot at bute... HBO one ups Showtime once again

IMO Bute is clearly the #1 SMW right now and he has the potential to be as good and dominant as the legendary Joe Calzaghe. Abraham, Ward, Froch and Kessler will figure out who's #2. I think Kessler can adjust and beat Ward in their rematch, but we will see. I now favor Abraham to win the Super Six tournament.

That is another mistake. Kessler had already beaten Andrade and Ward beat Kessler. So therefore, Ward should be #1. Ring is garbage now.

            No.

Bute beat an improved version of Andrade more impressively than Kessler did in 2007. Kessler was defeated before, Bute is undefeated.

Ward is undefeated too. And Bute should've lost the first fight against Andrade more than likely even though he deserves credit for the second fight.

If I had to pick, I'd pick Ward too, but I really don't like it when he clinches and headbutts.

Bute isn't the number 1 in my opinion based on the many points already outlined by other posters. He is an excellent fighter however, and I look forward to seeing him fight other top fighters.

Here's my top 10 right now.

                  Ward
                  Bute
                  AA
                  Froch
                  Kessler
                  Green
                  Bika
                  Dirrell
                  Taylor
                  Andrade

Well he was ranked number 1 last week, Ward jumped something like 9 places by beating Kessler, (over-reaction) and pushed bute into number 2, Bute demolishes the "unstoppable" Andrede, who was ranked 5th i belive and pinches his place back. Seems fair enough really.
