On what planet does this make any sense. Ward beats Kessler the #1 guy. Bute beats the # 6 guy. In addition, Kessler had already beaten Andrade! Boxing fans need to start taking Ring rankings less to heart. They're definitely some of the best rankings in all of boxing but they're far from flawless.

          Bute
          Andrade UD12, KO4
          Zuńiga KO4
          Joppy TKO10
          Berrio TKO11
          Bika UD12

He has beaten, more guys, with more quality than Ward, except for Kessler and he is KOoing them too!

          Bute is #1 hands down!!!!
Are you telling me that those six victories are better than Froch's victories over Jean Pascal, Jermain Taylor and Andre Dirrell? ****, an old, washed up Robin Reid is about as good as William Joppy. I'm not even a big Froch fan and the more I watch the fight against Dirrell, the more I score it narrowly for Dirrell (although it was a very close fight despite what many people think). A win is a win though. Froch has a better resume than Bute and I don't rank him as number one.

People are confusing P4P ranking and divisional ranking.
P4P is based on resume and the way he won the fight
Divisional ranking is based on who you beat in the ranking. You beat number 1, you become number 1. You beat number 2, you become number 2

              Totally wrong!!!!

P4P is a fictional list that is based on recent wins and skills!!!

Divisional rankings are based on resume. Who you eat how and when!!

If it was like you say, why is Pac #1 at WW, Why is Williams #1 at JMW, why is Bradley #1 at JWW and so and so!!!!!!

Bute is righfully the #1 SMW!!!!!

Sakio Bika and Andrade are bboth top 10 SMW. Dirrel although I think he is. he aint ranked in the ring rankings, so a close(almost lost) to a non rank opponent is not as meaningless as Koing a iron chinned guy who is ranked op 0 in your division!!

Jermain Taylor was outboxing the **** out of Froch till the stoppage.

agains is not only who you beat, is how and when!!!!

Cotto had a better resume than Mosley at WW at the time; when Mosley KO’d Margarito. Mosley went number one. Even after Cotto still “beat” Clottey, he was still ranked second after Mosley.

I think AA would knock him cold, even if the ref gave Bute a 1 min count.

Bradley is number one Jr WW, since Pacman is no longer fighter at Jr WW. Williams is number one Jr MW, simply because he is Paul Williams
