In response to the OP: I had never thought about it that way but I think you are on to something.

If all the whiners in here complaining about Floyd being the 'same old always running' - watch back some of his fights e.g. against Gatti. He stands his ground and uses his awesome defensive skills and exploits openings ruthlessly, that's why he was regarded as the best p4p fighter on the planet. The guy in against Marquez wasn't as confident as the Floyd of old and after a 2 year lay off it's no wonder. He'll be back to his best in his next fight though.

i've ony seen the cotto fight and when he was on the contender but from what i've seen...i think he'd beat gomez off skill alone in a SD.
