Not very many, if any, thought Floyd looked rusty. He looked pretty sharp still. I think he'll be even sharper on fight night.

he also made JMM came up and cheated him on it. the much bigger man already going against someone out of his own weight class. a regular welterweight wouldve given him more trouble

Again, if you don't think size had anything to do with the outcome of the fight...then you have problems.

Sure, Floyd did not win the fight by imposing his size and strength over Marquez.

But clearly, Marquez was slow, sluggish, and simply did not carry up anything with him up to the welterweight division. He looked horrible, and as impressive as Floyd was...he didn't beat the same Marquez that we all know.

oh really impressive knocking a lightweight over and dominating him. your saying mayweathers size didnt help him win fight? marquez couldnt hurt him because of size difference and mayweather who is normally featherfisted fighter had decent power vs little guy. mayweather would have ran from marquez if they was the same size.

Damn JMM was made to order for Floyd so If Floyd "looked rusty" than that dude has some serious problems coming u against Pacquiao. I saw the same floyd Mayweather boring, and running like a *****.

I think there was some rust in Floyd against JMM. For a guy who was coming back and picking JMM for his comeback fight only meant one thing, to show PAC up.

Since PAC literally blew out Hatton and DLH, Floyd had to do something, and I know Floyd wanted more, than just outpointing an aging veteran, lol.

I mean, that was all Floyd could do, was avoid punches, and throw 1 punch at a time, against an aging veteran.

I seriously think he would have rather Marquez went the distance, it actually makes the fight less of a mismatch on paper, if he knocks Marquez out then everyone would say well we expected him too. Marquez was embarrassed by losing to Floyd the way he did, he never expected any fighter to be able to completely shut him out, Marquez is a scientist in the ring, very smart and to get shutout is more embarassing to him than getting knocked out.
