Pacquiao's lack of defense concerns me.

Definitely, but I don't think he can just walk through Floyd's punches. Remember, speed is power. Cotto is a stronger puncher than Mayweather. But Floyd's speed plus his balance make him the more gifted and devastating puncher.

Like everyone always says, the shots that hurt the most are the ones you don't see. If Pacquiao only thinks offense, he'll get caught with something wicked.

yea your probably right i think that floyds power is actually underestimated. However i think that is the only way pacquiao can win... If pacquiao trys to just go in and out i see just countering him like crazy...

I can see Manny walking right through floyd's punches, stalking him non-stop for 12 rounds the same way Margo stalked Cotto. Can't imagine it better.

Pac landed 336 of 780 (43 percent) to Cotto’s 172 of 597 (29 percent) and although Cotto prevailed in jabs (79 of 297 to 60 of 227 – both 27 percent) it was Pacquiao’s quick power punching that determined the outcome. In that department he was 276 of 560 (49 percent) to Cotto’s 93 of 300 (31 percent)

Cotto lost that fight in the 4th round when he abandoned his game plan and his jab, instead pursuing a fire fight. He was still fighting well, and winning the rounds, but he put himself in harm's way.
agreed..cotto hit manny alot it was clear once i re-watched the fight twice cotto had the jab connecting and snaping manny's head back everytime...it was clear the next day just how much pac got hit....also i dn't belive people that say pac just wanted to let everyone know he could take cotto's punch if he wanted to do that he would of let cotto hit him flush once or twice in the fight...cotto landed alot because pac was very hitable in my opinion mayweather is alot smarter fighter than cotto he will expose pac's defense..

Yeah, people are claiming some machismo thing but that doesn't explain how easily Cotto was able to hit him, even towards the end of the fight.

To be honest, it makes for great entertainment, so I like it. But it doesn't necessarily get you a win, especially against a fighter like Floyd.

4-2 Cotto after 6 is extremley reasonable, and may be even more accurate than my card. I've only watched the fight live, once. Cotto was HURT by Pac in the 4th and that certainly had something to do with the change in tactics, and the sluggish answers he had for Pac's offense later on in the fight, but that's part of the boxing game. I see Manny-Floyd going something like Judah-Mayweather in that Pac will probably win the opening rounds while Floyd makes his adjustments and begins to time Pac, and then he will begin potshotting Pac to death with hard shots. If Pac slows down and tries to adjust and outthink Mayweather I think he loses a comfortable decision 9 rounds to 3. If he keps his foot on the gas, I think there's a high probability Floyd may catch him clean and put the lights out.
