Pac wanted 145 he got 145. PAc is the best at 145. Shane is the best at 147 hands down.

Cotto beat Shane ,Manny embarrassed Cotto-Shane is alittle delusional at this point. Now that he has Nazeem"teach em to hit and HOLD ON"Richardson ,he wants everybody.Funny thing is Mosley KNOWS without holding(cheating) he wouldn't compete with anyone.I can't wait for Freddie Roch to start bringing up Moleys "NEW TACTICS" under Nazeem"teah em to hit and hold"Richardson, that makes him look so great at 39.

The only reason why most people dont see it as a robbery is because Shane didnt complain about the decision. Malinaggi complained about the decision in the Diaz fight and complained his way to an immediate rematch that he deserved. Shane could have complained the same way but he didnt. He took the decision like a man and crushed Margarito which in turned silenced all the critics. Shane lets his fist do the talking!! And Sense that Shane fight, Cotto has been on serious decline, backpedaling and trying to escape with slim victories!!
Good point. I think Cotto really won but thats the first time he started to fight "not to lose" in the last few rounds. Mosley took it to Margarito most definitely...I think it those differences in outcomes come down to details i.e. trainers, Mosley took a new trainer and Cotto probably should try that, no knock on Santiago hes good but from the same school as Evangelista.

Shane destroyed Margo and haven't been able to secure a big fight yet. It seems that everybody is side stepping. In nobody mind Shane is an easier opponent than Cotto, Floyd or Pac. Shane is a dangerous opponent for any of the top WW. His win is so far back no against the top guy at the time in WW that some people are counting him out.

The big money fight IS Pac/Mayweather, but if you want to decide who is the best somebody still has to face Mosley at some point so they won't be any doubts.

We know that he beat Margarito and what does that proof? That Mosley can beat Margarito but it doesn't proof that he can beat Cotto. You can make up your fantasy universum where Shane Mosley won and Cotto has now 3 losses but it has nothing to do with the real world...

and on top... please do not overrate Margarito. Everybody knows that a guy who has chin (which is not even something that you can train) and has good conditioning is pretty hard to beat. On top you throw that he's pretty big for an WW... and you got an guy who can beat a lot of guys who are way more talented then him only because of that. Margarito ain't got real boxing skills... chin, conditioning and size and only of them is actual trainable... everything else is given... so please don't overrate him because he beat Cotto.
What did you just say????, listen first learn how to spell properly before you debate and criticize a fighters abilities and accomplishments, margarito was the most avoided fighter in the ww division with the exception of williams and was blowing everybody he faced out of the water, and what he lacked in skill he made up for in toughness, relentlessness, and determination, that toughness and determination was enough to cause floyd to avoid fighting him, even turning down 8 million dollars to avoid facing him!

That toughness and pressure he brought to a fight was enough to brutalize cotto widely regarded as the best ww in the world at that time, and I have a funny feeling if he had beaten margarito he would have been labled as one of if not the greatest fighter of this era, now when mosley destroyed with apparent ease a fighter who was considered the most avoided fighter, again with the exception of williams, and a fighter who crushed cotto and many believe gave williams all he could handle and actually beat him, now when shane decisively crushes the monster, the most avoided fighter, the tijuana tornado, a fighter who floyd and many others blatantly avoided, it's all of a sudden no big deal?

What I will say is please don't try and minimize the significance of the mosley victory because of your biased views, and for you to suggest that you know boxing while claiming that cotto won a fight that was very close going into the last rds, while running the last 4 rds is absolutely laughable, when you look at that fight more objectively absent your biased criticisms, mosley becomes the obvious winner, learn boxing, learn how to spell and objectively view fights and fighters before you come on these boards and criticize their accomplishments.

Mosley is right. As much as I'm in awe of Pacquiao right now, I try to put his win over Cotto in a little bit of perspective. I ask myself, "Was that really the best version of Cotto that Pacquiao fought?" I've always said that Mosley laid out the blue print to beat Cotto even though he may have come up a little short. From there on Cotto didn't look like that same wrecking machine that destroyed Quintana and Judah. The results speak for themselves. He back peddled against Margarito all night and he really lost that fight agaisnt Clottey if you take away the knockdown. I just think Cotto had a lot of wear and tear on his body even though he was a way better challenge than the guys Pac had previously fought since his war with JMM in the second fight.

People can overrate Mosley's win over Margarito as well, because Margarito went into that fight out of shape and you could tell from the moment of his ring walk to the refree's pre fight instructions. Mosley would still beat Margarito ten times out of ten though. The only way you could tell if Mosley was better than Pac and vice versa is if they fought each other in a head-to-head match up. I view it as a toss up fight, and I'll have to see how Mosley does against Berto to get a better measuring stick.

Pacquiao should not be ranked over Mosley period though. He's only had two fights at 147 with one being a catch weight fight and Mosley was the linear champ at one time and just beat a guy who had mauled Cotto into submission. And Ring would lose all credibility if they don't put him back in the #1 spot if he unifies the WBC and WBA titles by beating Berto.

I hope PBF or Pac give Shane a shot. He really deserves it and he desperately needs a big pay day before he retires.
