Well if we use that same reason now Pacman, beat the man (Cotto) who beat the man (Mosley) and very concingly also.

There will be others that would say that Pacman has just 2 fights as a WW (DLH in 2008 and Cotto in 2009) which turned out to be to complete domination against his opponents BTW.

Well guess what Mosley has 2 fights at WW since Nov. of 2007 (Cotto in 2007 and Margarito in 2009) and out of those 2 fights he lost 1 and quess against who?? Yeah the same guy that Pacman destroyed (Cotto).

If I would have to pick the #1 WW I would have a small inclination to Mosley because of the catchweight issue with Pacman, but base on the most recent activity and performance I can understand and be comfortable with Pacman being # 1.

Remember this "title" is of # 1 WW is for the "MOMENT" and at this moment or at least the last 2 years, Pacman's accomplishment at WW have been more impressive,
co-sign.... hope ssm-pacman first after he gets ssm belt and his 5th lineal title we can have pacman-gayweather 60-40 moreso 65-35 for pac... by then gayweather will be the challenger....

but goin back to the topic...ill put shane on number one...when pac beats floyd i can argue that pac is number one..regardless of the outcome of shane berto...but shane/berto is too close to call...i got youth and power in berto..and i got an experienced well rounded boxer in shane...its a toss up...

Pac is the man to beat though. Shane hasnt done anything recently, pac has destroyed a world class welterweight. If shane is convincing against berto, then hes the best, but you cant rest on your laurels for a year after a good performance and still claim to be the best.

SSM shouldnt have a problem with Pac being no1. Look how Pac dealt with Cotto, compared to SSM and Cotto.

Cotto has always been considered just about the man at ww. So how come just before fighting Pac, he isnt the main man at WW all of a sudden?

Beat Pac and you are the man SSM.

You can say anything you want but Arum has already said, Shane your full of crap. And now your pickin up where Floyd left off by talking trash about Manny to promote your bout with Berto.

mosley was still in euphoria for his win over margarito. but he forgot that someone in the name of miguel cotto schooled him once. and that someone who taught him boxing lessons was humbled by a man from the far east whom chicken floyd and his father ugly old floyd call "one-dimensional" fighter.

but should mosley survive the young and untested berto, i think he deserve to fight a bigger name... delahoya.

                bwahahahahahahahahahahahah!!!!!!!!!!!

calling himself the greatest at 147lbs is ridiculous but he's is entitled to his own opinion.

I agree 100%. Shane deserves the Pac fight more than Floyd does. Floyd retired and came back to fight a lightweight. He doesnt deserve the Pac fight. He will get the fight because of the money that the fight will generate. But in a Lineal championship perspective. The winner of the Shane vs Berto fight will be the Lineal welterweight champion. Shane is already "the man" at 147 because he beat the man who beat the man who beat the man... as they say!
