Are you serious or just plain ignorant? So since most of us are poor only the Mexican population generated the million buys right? That's the most stereotypical mess I've heard in awhile but you must have PRIDE in prejudice

      • for floyd stans who love moving goalposts, pac-cotto was the highest grossing PPV event of 2009.

Apparently its the first times its happened since 1999, that's 10 years... thats a good achievement for Boxing as a whole.
Agreed, and on a recession; never thought it would surpass 800/900k to be honest.

does floyd have the high ground to ask for more than 50%? his stans say he has.

            but those are his stans.

boxing media says pac is a legit box-office hit.
it certainly was a success, but it was not enough to warrant a bigger split against floyd mayweather.

            i'm not a "stan" i'm just a realist

Don't make-up something that does not exist, it is floyd and the *****s who doesn't want it they're afraid floyd gets exposed.
first off most of you pacquiao fans don't know **** about boxing all you know about is manny pacquiao so for the most part you are ******.
how am i makin stuff up?all i said was that i don't think pacquiao and his people want the fight with floyd and if you want some reasons why i think that here they go
1.if pacquiao and his people wanted to fight floyd they would have gave up the bigger piece of the pie but they didn't they could of fought floyd instead of miguel but they didn't want to they had rather fought miguel cotto and gain some more leverage over mayweather
2.manny pacquiao says he doesn't have to call floyd out
3.ariza and roach had both said that manny doesn't need floyd that they could always fight marquez for a 3rd time
4.the fact theat manny and his team want it to be split 60/40 for pacquiao and they also want the fight at 145
in all reality if pacquiao and his people really wanted the fight they would make it happen

When you're parading around a forum making countless threads about how one event will fail in comparison to the other, it kinda makes you look as if you don't know what you're talking about (which in their case is a normality).
Well I think its all friendly debates, I can remember before the Numero Uno Card..this board was flooded with threads about how it would only do 700K and Maywather isnt a draw..blah blah blah

Like I said....there were more post's and threads made about how Numero Uno would flop then there was about how Fire Power would do less than Numero Uno....

                not really that serious

You can't hang onto past glories, especially when you weren't even the main draw. You have to look at now, not years ago, and consider how high Pacquiao's star has risen, especially since Nov. 14.

The ONLY Pacquiao fans I've seen that don't want it to happen are those who say Floyd doesn't even deserve a chance to fight Pacquiao. (Most of them are just winding you guys up, actually). They want to see Mayweather sweat, see him get off his high horse for once and get real. They think Mosley deserves a fight more. I see nothing wrong with what they are saying, actually.

But wait... are you saying there are no Mayweather fans who don't want this fight to happen? The single most honest Floyd fan on this entire site, and the one who I have the most respect for, is a guy called h2k. Look at his sig:

Please don't fight pacman! I want you to retire as undefeated.

If only all Floyd fans were like him. What a guy.
You say that some are winding Mayweather fans up, but I truly believe that some Pac fans do not want to see it happen. Do I want to see it happen? Of course. I want to see him fight Manny. And I am honest on this site bro too..but that cute how u quoted that sig..anyways I don't get scared for a fight that SOMEONE has to fight..lol..I don't care about his sig Sam. Do you want to see the fight?

I like Mayweather over Pac. simple as that.

                  • I think 50-50 should fair for both guys, but I got to tell you that I was more impressed with the Mayweather-Marquez numbers. Cotto help the sales of FirePower a lot bringing in the Ricans and Latinos so Pacquiao did not do those numbers by himself. Mayweather on the other hand did pretty ****ing well and way more than I expected against Marquez.

                    50-50 get it done!

It always used to be, but nowadays, scenarios change whilst you're still looking at them, so,
I wonder when Arum will correct his coment or his math skills.
