If Marquez had sooo many mexican fans why was his last PPV fight vs Pac in 2008 and only did 400K........why all of a sudden when he fights Mayweather he has this enormous fan base?..

Why not? Jiddu...you look to closely at the numbers and not the substance of JMM. He made an enormous fan base after the fight with Pac. Why? Many "casual" mexicans were not expecting JMM to fight the way he did against Pac. Many boxing fans and casual fans noted that JMM was simply an exciting fighter that arguably won the fight against the "Mexcutioner"; furthermore his "Pac-hunt" campaign in higher weights enticed the boxing community and mexican fans alike. Ultimately he created his fanbase by the time Floyd came around. So IMO, I truly believe JMM has developed a HEAVY following.

I was surprised that Marquez Vs May was 1 mil. No one really guessed that would happen. Floyd can promotoe a fight better than anyone. Maybe they spent a lot on the promtion I don't know but 24/7 was good for sure.

Pac-Cotto was expected to do atleast 1 mil IMO. Arum etc kept talking rubbish about how 1.6mil was achievable etc... If only Cotto and Pac could have a good and bad cop situation and speak better english.

Off topic. Just had my wisdom tooth taken out from the dentist because it had a hole and I couldn't be ****ed to get it looked at for 2 years. My tooth was hurting me on and off but this last 2 weeks killed me. Had to get it taken off. I'm in pain now because the anaestetic wore off!

enough would have been a number that proves Pacquiao as an individual brings in more revenue than Floyd Mayweather as an individual.

How are Mayweather's numbers more impressive? If Cotto Manny made 1.25, and and Mayweather Marquez made 1, then Cotto Manny's numbers are more impressive. Don't forget, most of the buys during Mayweather Marquez were mexican fans. Either you are being bias, or I completely don't understand what you just said.

Mayweather is a great boxer but he said Mosley wasn't a draw and that's why he chose Marquez because Marquez was a bigger draw. Now Marquez was never a draw ? I'm 100% positive Mayweather/Marquez did not even do 1 Mil that's some mad bull****. I'm sure it is just bieng said for Pac/Mayweather to negotiate easier. In a perfect world it should be 50/50 but i think Floyd will ask for 60

thats what im sayin everybody was hatin on Mayweather Marquez sayin it was a mismatch and they wans't buyin the fight and all the boxing websites were hatin on the fight but it still does a million now they hyped Pacquiao-Cotto like it was going to be the best fight ever and they only did a lilttle bit more than Mayweather-Marquez but with the way they hyped up Pacquiao-Cotto it should have sold at least 2 million PPV
