Seriously though, they should fight at 140.
It'd still be a title defense for Pac, and easier for JMM,
who would still get the piss beaten out of him.
    lol.
Makes no sense as to why it would be at 145 if what Roach says is true.
Manny is said to be eating 8 meals per day.

Margarito, Clottey and Mosley all come in over 160. Now consider height, frame, arms length.

Cotto is a small welter. A pound and an inch can make or break.

It's funny to me because everybody is talking about Floyd
is ducking Manny but negotiations haven't even started
and Roach is already talking about a Manny fight Juan Manuel
Marquez again at 145, KNOWING DAMN WELL that JMM looked
like he had nothing there (Or atleast Floyd made him looked
that way) Either or, I just feel like Roach is on some BS. He
is ducking Floyd. I know I will get so many replies that I'm
bugging but how obvious can it be? Considering JMM is schedule
to fight Hatton sometime next year? I know a lot of people on
here don't like Floyd but lets be real, Roach is already talking
about jumping ship on negotiations before they even started.
Arum and Roach keep saying Mayweather is hard to deal with
and that's why the fight might not happen?

Mayweather never said that, what do they think Floyd is supposed
to do? Give Manny everything? Floyd had the biggest PPV's and still
did a good PPV with Marquez, Pac got this one but Floyd got him beat 3-0 PPV with the same opponents. Honestly (And just my opinion) Arum and Roach are making excuses to duck Floyd. Unless their trying to make
him sweat but it's aukward because they mentionedMayweather
the whole time and after. They know Floyd is the man to
beat. Roach should be quiet sometimes because he makes
Pac look like he is ducking.

I don't think there's any ducking. I think it's Pac's camp trying to scare Floyd into being more negotiable by showing what options Pac has.

Floyd doesn't want PWill or Mosley. But they might be his only options if he messes around with ****** figures and Pac goes elsewhere.

ok someone please explain to me how in the blue *** can manny defend his WELTERWEIGHT TITLE UNDER THE WELTERWEIGHT LIMIT?!?

you can defend your title all day at 145 if you want to but forcing your opponent to come in at 145 when the limit is 147 is bull****. The WBO has NO BACKBONE, that title shouldn't have been on the line in the first place.

              This is the bull****
Roach has obviously begun his negotiation strategies because he can't be serious

This is just a negotiating tactic for the Mayweather fight. Nothing more. They have no intention of fighting Marquez. Roach is trying to make it look like they have other options.

As an aside, I think the catchweight is crap. Either it is a Welterweight title fight or it is not. Will the WBO create a new division with a 145lb. limit to accommodate Pacquiao? What's next, David Haye demanding the Klitschkos come down to 225lbs because of the size difference?

I understand but since the build up to Pac/Cotto, all that has been coming
out of team Pac mouth is Mayweather. Either their saying we don't need
him, he's the easiest fight, hard to negotiate with......Etc....... Floyd
hasn't said anything. How can they be trying to bait Mayweather when
their the ones loosing their cool talking about fighting JMM a 3rd time at
145? JMM ain't even talking about a 3rd fight with Manny no more.

So move up from 135 to 147 isn't a scarifice??Thanks,mr.Boxing expert real talk.
                      So 15 lbs??

So where is the problem for Oscar??
He only had to make 147 and weigh 162 lbs fight night like all these guys you are talking about.

                      DOUBLE STANDARD!
yea but he didn't. May not want to admit it but ODLH was definitely weight drained. It's also a known fact that it's easier on a fighter's body to put on weight than it is to drop it. Roach admitted that he saw blood coming from Oscar's arms (which he concluded came from IV drip). On the night of the fight Oscar actually weighed LESS than manny and Manny came in OVER the WW limit on fight night. Granted ODLH agreed to the fight, but you can't refute that he was drained, especially after Roach admitted it himself.

The fight with Cotto is different. I don't believe that Cotto was weight drained. Cotto appeared to be in great shape. This was a great win for manny. What I don't like is the fact that weighing in at 145 was a stipulation in a WW match. That's bull****. If you're going to move up to a diff weight class then do that. Don't make up your own. So this defending at 145 is ridiculous.
