The scores were not generous, the were unanimous. As was the overall sentiment at the fight.

A 115-113 fight is an edging, and it was while Manny fought half the fight with limited vision.

You're seeing what you want to see, and superimposing it on the overall fight.

It was very close and very competitive.

Definatly warrenting a rematch no matter how you look at it.
What photos are you talking about?

    • "Anyway, if the fans want a rematch no skin off my nose, but there's nothing that can be complained about in the loss, other than being outboxed......not sufficient grounds for a public outcry for a rematch in my opinion."

      Again, unwarrent comments.

Outboxed was Wright beating Moesley the 1st time, or Hopkins doing a job on Eastman. This fight was very close and competitive.

And a rematch almost always follows a close competitve fan favorite fight.

This fight was all of those things to a tee.

Exactly! Switching to lefty in the 12th was probably the only reason Erik lost that round..a stance that is completely unfamiliar to him. If he can no longer make the weight, then he just cant make the wt. I mean, why bother if he's going to be accused of "cheating" at the scales? (a particular post strongly suggests he did just that..with Arum's help, of course! )
It's a shame that only a small handful of pac fans admit that Morales won cause he was the superior fighter...I keep reading all the crap about the gloves and Pac 'wasnt mentally prepared' (who's fault is that exactly??) and now Morales supposedly weighed more at the weigh in?? Come on alreadY!!!!!!!

I like both fighters the same, and was cheering for both at the fight.

But when it was over, Morales had won by one round, in a fight that Manny fought half of with one eye.

That was not a clear cut win or a difinitive statement. It was no more decisive than Morales' win over Barrera in their first fight, or Barrera's wins over Morales in the 2nd and 3rd fights.

Unless Morales 100% cannot make the 130lb division anymore, I think the fans would be thrilled to see a rematch, and that Manny more than deserves one.

I don't think the Golves were an issue, but if Manny gets to wear his glove in a rematch, and can see out of both eyes for the whole fight, I think it makes for a very interesting fight.
If Manny wears Reyes gloves in the rematch, look for him to be ko'ed early on!

Judge me from my photos all u want... and yes they are biased , my pictures were made to pour salt on my pac-fan buddies' wounds here on BS.

Seeing what you wanna see works both ways, you probably agreed with Larry Merchant, and gave the 5th round to Pacquiao because Harold Letterman said so even though it was a clear Morales round. You probably said WOW when Jim Lampley said Morales just switched southpaw ate a big one in the 12th, when in that instance it was Pacquiao who did the Cotto dance as he ate a harsh right hook from Morales. Later he recouped and hurt Morales.

You say everyone demands to see a rematch... judging.. and this is something u can actually judge... by this thread (The die-hard boxing fans from bs) the sentiment on wether a rematch is needed is not unanimous... and therefore its not the general sentiment here.

              • Seeing as the only ones who don't want to see a Morales rematch have Morales photos by their name and think Morales "dominated" the fight, it doesn't mean a heck of a lot.

I scored the fight while I was watching it live, and scored it again watching it on TV.

Both times I had it for Morales by a round.

I like Morales just as I like Pacquiao.

Its just puzzeling to come in here and see all the useless bickering.

It was a close fight, a good fight, and it should be done a 2nd time.

Damn....well, everyone will accept Barrera's excuse for losing to Pacman but a cut over Pacman's eye apparently is BS.
Not true..Barrera had his ass handed to him, plain and simple! I'm a Barrera fan and can still say that, and I'm sure I'm not the only one either!

So you think you wanting to see a rematch means a heck of a lot because u dont got a Morales or Pacquiao pic?

FYI so far at least 2 of pac's biggest fans agree no rematch is needed. And yes they posted on this thread.

                    • I could care less what you think.

The people who post here aren't an accurate reflection of how much demand for a rematch there is.

The 350 000 PPV buys speak for themselves.
