Because it takes away from the other fighter to know he can't easily hurt his opponent... Also Manny wanted to taste Cotto's power so he felt more comfortable in there.

He was imitating Clottley. I believe one of the weaknesses he saw in Miguel was him losing confidence as he couldn't hurt clottey. I think Pac wanted to do the same thing to him, which I think worked.

I dont want to use Margo, because in the Clottey fight he was pressing forward...

I think Manny's Speed & Power shell shocked him

Yeah, those rounds were great. If you're a Pac fan, then the whole fight must have been wonderful.

As someone who loves both fighters, but probably more so Miguel, the fight was a hard watch once it became apparent that Cotto couldn't hurt Pac and a KO was in the offing.

But yeah, loved those early rounds. The people I watched it with were pumping their fists and beaming at the give-and-take of those rounds.

It did, without a doubt and I think Cotto just shelled up ESPECIALLY after that 2nd knockdown. Cotto looked lost and intimidated.

Yeah there was some terrific action in the first act of that fight. Those knockdowns were killers for Cotto...the first for confidence and the second because it actually hurt Cotto badly.

Some of the exchanges early on were awesome. Cotto's jab was working great and his counters were on. Pacquiao is just so fast with the hands and if 1, 2, or 3 don't get ya....4 and 5 certainly will. Both guys looked explosive, but after the second KD (sick shot btw) Cotto just couldn't hang with him anymore.

Pacquiao was the better man and that's all that needs to be said. The guy is a virtuoso...a whirlwind.

But Marg, as a lot of people said, took something from Cotto and after the way he looked against Manny I'm not sure if he'll ever get it back. There has to be a Marg/Cotto rematch and Cotto's going to have get what he lost back in that fight, if that's even possible.
hahaha excuses #1 on this thread. and counting.

If anything you made yourself look dumber than I ever and especially posting this, AGAIN after you're the one who made that ******ed ass statement you obviously had more faith in Cotto than I did.
                      BWHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!

****** COTTO STAN!!! I TOLD YOUR ***** ASS THAT IF THE FIGHT GOES PAST 6 ROUNDS COTTO WILL BE ****ED UP!!!

UGH UGH UGH IN YOUR VAG *****!!!!

As for Cotto being ruined mentally, I say that because he is. After that second knockdown it completely turned into the Marg fight. If you watch Cotto in the Judah, Torres and Corely fights each time he was hurt he kept coming forward no retreat and did what was working for him. He was winning all but the 2nd round until the 2nd knockdown and once he felt hurt he went into survival mode which is exactly what happened with Marg. I'm not saying Marg did it legally, I hate Margarito more than ever now for ruining what could have been a great great career.
COTTO WASN'T MENTALLY RUINED!!!!! COTTO JUST MET LAST NIGHT A REAL TOP 10 ATG BOXER...

ARGH!!! SKEET! SKEET! SKEET! SKEET! SKEET!

ALL ON YOUR MUTHA****IN FACE *****!!!!

If Cotto can face Marg and beat him and get whatever he lost in that fight back, it will be great.
cotto can beat marg w/ a few adjustment

I'll never turn my back on Cotto the guy is a warrior,
cotto ain't no warrior... he was running like a ***** from a former 106 lber and he wanted to quit in the 11th!!!!

but he needs to take a solid year off restructure his corner
I've been telling you cotto stans that cotto needs a real trainer for a long as ****in time.... BWAHHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH!!! EAT DOG**** COTTO STANS!!!!

and get his head right with a defeat over Marg.
marg didn't destroy cotto last night... a real top 10 ATG fighter did!!!! margo never knockdown cotto once... PAC HAD HIM DOWN 2X!!!! suck on it cotto bitches!!!!!

Until then I just don't see him overcoming difficult situations like he used to. As someone stated its always easier to quit the second time,
THAT WAS ME MUTHA ****A!!!! BWHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAH!!!!

and while I agree with what Cotto did in the Marg fight by taking the knee, it doesn't mean it didn't come with any after affects.
I'VE BEEN TELLING YOU COTTO STANS FOREVER!!! COTTO HAS NEVER BEEN INVINCIBLE!!!!

even at 140 lbs he was vulnerable!!! believe it!!! there is no pre-margo cotto or a post-margo cotto!!! there is only 1 cotto... the quitter who fades late!!!!

                      BWHAHAHHAAHHAAHHA!!!!

I know I'm going overboard w/ the gloating, but you cotto stans must understand that after so many months of bull****ting and whining you deserve this right???

BWHAHAHAH!!! NEXT TIME DON'T CRY OR TALK SO MUCH BULL**** BITCHES!!!!
