I concur. The better man won, simple as that.

BUT. As fight fans, this thread is to appreciate the fact that for the first half of the fight, we had a phenomenal fight. We were all greatly entertained, and it's rare that a super fight can produce fireworks like this one.

Granted it was only for half the fight, but it was a damn good half fight.

Wow... weren't you the one saying Cotto should retire if he lost to a 106 pounder? I wasn't making any idiotic claims like that jackass, I said either man could win and but I had Cotto by late KO. If anything you made yourself look dumber than I ever and especially posting this, AGAIN after you're the one who made that ******ed ass statement you obviously had more faith in Cotto than I did.

As for Cotto being ruined mentally, I say that because he is. After that second knockdown it completely turned into the Marg fight. If you watch Cotto in the Judah, Torres and Corely fights each time he was hurt he kept coming forward no retreat and did what was working for him. He was winning all but the 2nd round until the 2nd knockdown and once he felt hurt he went into survival mode which is exactly what happened with Marg. I'm not saying Marg did it legally, I hate Margarito more than ever now for ruining what could have been a great great career.

If Cotto can face Marg and beat him and get whatever he lost in that fight back, it will be great. I'll never turn my back on Cotto the guy is a warrior, but he needs to take a solid year off restructure his corner and get his head right with a defeat over Marg. Until then I just don't see him overcoming difficult situations like he used to. As someone stated its always easier to quit the second time, and while I agree with what Cotto did in the Marg fight by taking the knee, it doesn't mean it didn't come with any after affects.

Cotto was seriously messed up after the 2nd KD. He was saved by the bell.

Judah never hurt him that bad. He rocked him, didnt put him down.

Like i said before, he was hurt because he was being too aggresive. So what was left to do but box and move? Nothing was working for him. He hit Pac with his best body shots, his left hook, nothing hurt Pac.

I dont agree it had anything to do with the Marg fight.

But Marg, as a lot of people said, took something from Cotto and after the way he looked against Manny I'm not sure if he'll ever get it back. There has to be a Marg/Cotto rematch and Cotto's going to have get what he lost back in that fight, if that's even possible.
Margarito with no wraps destroys Cotto

          terrible match up....

I dont know where Cotto goes from here

Blame the knock down in the 3rd rd

Typical fan boy post referring to the Margarito fight and in turn marginalizing Pac's credit for beating him.

After re-watching the fight I think Cotto got way too careless in the 4th rd and it ended up biting him in the ass. He seemed to be executing his gameplan pretty well and had pac on the ropes and hit him with some solid shots that were bothering pac and Cotto looked to be gaining steam. It looked like Cotto thought he might be able to get pac in trouble and he started winging like a wild man then ****, got caught with the punch that put him down and left him glassy eyed. Dude could have had a chance to wear Manny down and potentially stop him late if he had not fought so carelessly after having success the 1st 3 rds doing what he was doing. It looked like he got confident and then got too aggressive rather than keeping it steady and collected. Too bad...

Maybe now, but its apparent you didn't watch that fight. The wraps whether or did or didn't happen leave too many questions left unanswered. Cotto was looking like Floyd in the first 6 rounds of that fight, countering, slipping, dodging just excellent boxing skills but then it just disappeared and the rest is history. The problem is that there is a question about wraps in that fight, maybe you're right Cotto gets worked without wraps, but we'll never know. Saying **** like that is just ****** because you have no idea because the first half of the fight was just as one sided as the last half.
