I agree. I just think a couple years ago he would have been more game to go toe to toe for a couple more rounds before he retreated for good.

I agree those first five rounds were amazing to watch. These guys were showing the world the beauty of this sport when it is done right.

It matters in boxing because is a mental sport as well as a physical sport. Would he had done better if this was the undefeated Cotto of 06-07? I can't answer that question maybe probably he would have but to say "mental" don't matter is ******.

But Marg, as a lot of people said, took something from Cotto and after the way he looked against Manny I'm not sure if he'll ever get it back. There has to be a Marg/Cotto rematch and Cotto's going to have get what he lost back in that fight, if that's even possible.
How was he ruined mentally by Margrito?

He was trying to fight smart. He only got knocked down because he was throwing everthing he had at Pac.

He, like most people, believed he could hurt Pac if he caught him. He was wrong.

I think his loss to Margrito is grossly overplayed. He looked fine in his last few fights against very tough WW.
                Pac just destroyed him.

And yea. Those early rounds were great. Seemed like it could of gone either way up until the 2nd KD.

I mean, as good as we thought this fight could have been, the first half lived up to that and then some. Cotto just couldn't sustain that pace.

But how about we appreciate just how good the first half of the fight was?

People were predicting a high speed chess match....that's EXACTLY what the first half was.
THIS JUST GOES TO SHOW THAT COTTO ISN'T SHOT!!!! HE'S JUST A 6 ROUND FIGHTER JUST LIKE i TOLD ALL YOU COTTO STANS!!!!

Cotto lost to a guy who he probably outweiged on fight night along with the fact that Pacquiao's training camp was a lot worse than Cotto's. This mentally shot **** needs to go out the window. Pac is just the better fighter.
